Think I read something this week that The Stills are calling it quits...
I'm fairly neutral regarding their body of work, but I do like this song. It's funny how you can create one decent tune, but everything else before and after is ... uhm ... not really noteworthy.

I've had nothing but good experiences in Quebec and in Montreal, despite being an Ontarian who doesn't speak a lick of French. In fact, I don't know where you would have encountered that attitude in Montreal... I find abour 80% of the population there can speak English, and I've never felt slighted because I don't speak French.
Quebec is a beautiful place, and generally speaking, the people are great.

Sure I'm a fan, and a long-time one: I was at the opening Expos game in Parc Jarry, Montréal, in 1969. In fact, I was at Expo 67 in 1967 from which the Expos got their name.

They've got heart (pun intended, based on intro).
Very Tumbleweed Connection-ish first coupla chords.

I find this whole thing mediocre. Their first CD, "Logic will Break Your Heart" is far superior. This sounds uninspired and formulaic. Especially that 70's era guitar riff.

This entire album is FANTASTIC! Support little bands like the Stills and go see them on tour. They've really found their sound on this album, instead of starting off like the Interpol wannabe band that they were.

Based on my personal rating system, it gets a six. That's because I think all music on Radio Paradise deserves at least a six at the outset.
Upon actually *hearing* the tune, we'll see if this one bumps itself up or drags itself down...
I never noticed very many guitar riffs from The Moody Blues - generally the mellotron drowned everything else out.
