Out of bed at eight A.M.
Out my head by half past ten
Out with mates and dates and friends
That's what I do at weekends

I can't talk and I can't walk
But I know where I'm going to go
I'm gonna watch my money go
At the Locarno

When my feet go through the door
I know what my right arm is for
Buy a drink and pull the chair
Up to the edge of the dance floor

Bouncers bouncing through the night
Trying to stop or start a fight
I sit and watch the flashing lights
Moving legs in footless tights

I go out on Friday night
And I come home on Saturday morning
I go out on Friday night
And I come home on Saturday morning

I love to venture into town
I love to get a few drinks down
The floor gets packed and the bar gets full
I don't like life when things get dull

The hen party have saved the night
And freed themselves from drunken stags
Having fun and dancing
In a circle round their leather bags

I go out on Friday night
And I come home on Saturday morning
I go out on Friday night
And I come home on Saturday morning

But two o'clock has come again
It's time to leave this paradise
But the chip shop isn't closed
'Cause their pies are really nice

I'll eat in the taxi queue
Standing in someone else's spew
Wish I had lipstick on my shirt
Instead of piss stains on my shoes

I go out on Friday night
And I come home on Saturday morning
I go out on Friday night
And I come home on Saturday morning

I go out on Friday night
And I come home on Saturday morning
I go out on Friday night
And I come home on Saturday morning

I go out on Friday night
And I come home

A song to chill.
Pass the gun to me when you get done with it.
yet another breathy babe pretending to sing about her banal little life doings...it's been done better

brilliant album.
I like it, nice take on an old song by the Specials For some reason, the ending reminds me of Dylan's Lay Lady Lay
Sounds like the B-side I like it anyway...
hmm, the playing of any song where they say "pit stains" probably is a good sign that it's time to go home.

No kidding... But I love the tragic stuff...

Hmmm, I never go out on fridays anymore. But I'm not staying home to listen to this.
anyone got a smoke?
There is nothing that I like more than hearing a lovely new song on RP..................except maybe hearing a fav again............ lovely, sad, sweet, dark, hopeless
4.9? .... you guys got to be kidding ,,,, is a nice song ... OScar
If Suzanne Vega were French...?
I find myself singing this song frequently... although this just never happens to me anymore. Thanks for adding it to the playlist. :)
She sounds too much like Sophie Zelmani, which you know is NOT one of my favorites. The tune itself sounds like something from 'MelrosePlace" soundtrack. It's OK for background noise...but not to sink your soul into.
My cat's breath smells like cat food.
Thesed are the coolest covers, both choice and how they worked them out... This is the B-side of "Ghost Town" by the Specials, love the atmosphere, it's like my going out days...
