That is what I thought too, the 1st time I heard it!  GREAT TUNE!

Ry Cooder👍👍🎞
very nice!
IMHO, the drums make both this track and the preceding, "Company Sin" by John Butler Trio.
we can always find room for a slice of RY......{#Whisper}
Probably the weakest track on a spectacular album.  Still great music and guitar work from two masters.
my "wish list" on amazon is overflowing!
The guitar work here from Manuel and Ry is stellar. No surprise.

Love this whole album.  One of the coolest album covers ever.

A 9.  And the rest of the album is just as good or better.

I picked this CD up at Borders while I was waiting until midnight so my daughter could buy the latest Harry Potter.  I got bored and figured anything by Ry Cooder would be good (I hadn't really known anything about the whole Buena Vista Social Club thing, so I knew nothing about it).  I was certainly pleasantly surprised.

annoying and noisy
I wish it got a little more play on RP.  I also dig it a lot
Love it!
When I worked at a bang & Olufsen store I used this to demo audio systems.  The customers were crazy for it.  Great recording, too.

Paul Simon, in all his worldbeat glory, could only hope to have such riffs. Love this jam.
Ry Cooder never sounds 'stressed' but relaxed and authentic.
Outstanding album, and pleased to hear Bill spinning a cut from it. ¡Amo música con ritmo Cubano!

I haven't listened to this CD in a long time. This cut makes me want to pull it out at home tonight, and give it a spin. Nice groove!

Awww, man, not even close! This is good stuff, a classic album and classic Ry - but my wife is on your side!
