There's something about Jack White's quirky phrasing that, after a few listens, makes me involuntarily sing along with lyrics that often make no sense... much as I do with the Flaming Lips and a few others. This is good stuff. The transitions work well.

This isn't bad. Not as good as my favorite Jack White work, the "Van Lear Rose" album with Loretta Lynn, but it's got it's own charms. Hope the Stripes aren't going away for good. That would be as big a loss as when Jack said farewell to Detroit. Local music took a hit with that one.
