Sleep-inducing, by-the-numbers dreck made only for the purpose of refinancing the mortgage on the villa with swimming pool. (Whatever...) At least 80s INXS had some seriously catchy hooks and melodies. (Suicide Blonde, Need You Tonight, Original Sin.) This is devoid of any of those qualities.

It isn't all that bad - I wonder if people would be more receptive if it didn't have the "new" INXS/reality TV association?

I wish they would've changed the band name, at least. This by-the-numbers offering bears little resemblance to the old days, when the energy level and creativity were existent. This is very weak.
Gotta agree. I hope the rest of the album sounds more like the old band. This isn't bad, but INXS its not.
The lyrics are shit.

Please tell me you're kidding.

I would love to see the kid's contract. I'll bet he got the shaft. The Doors are reuniting with frontman, Clay Aiken.

I'd say the defining moment of when a band sells out occurs when they agree to participate in a cheese-eating reality show and selects a doofus who is half their age to try and reinvent themselves for a 'younger, more sustainable market demographic'. Congrats, INXS you're the first. Now go and enjoy the Pepsi and Ipod endorsements while a team of prodcuers cut your next album.
Word. I'm just glad Alice in Chains didn't fall for this commercial nonsense.
yah yah yah, but its still a good song...

RP - PLEASE don't honor reality TV!

I liked the overwroughtness.

I liked this enough to come over to the computer to find out who and what?
