Under blue moon I saw you
So soon you'll take me
Up in your arms
Too late to beg you or cancel it
Though I know it must be the killing time
Unwillingly mine

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

In starlit nights I saw you
So cruelly you kissed me
Your lips a magic world
Your sky all hung with jewels
The killing moon
Will come too soon

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

Under blue moon I saw you
So soon you'll take me
Up in your arms
Too late to beg you or cancel it
Though I know it must be the killing time
Unwillingly mine

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
You give yourself to him

La la la la la...

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

La la la la la...

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

La la la la la...

No, no, no! Please no more! This is a perfect example of a Soulless Cover of a brilliant song. It tries to sound like the original, and brings nothing to the party.
This cd is the ultimate expression of a someone with a serious writer's block.
bad cover {#Naughty}
 good cover. Neverthantheless

Two years later, and I'm definitely much more appreciative of Mr. Phillips' work.  Wouldn't use the phrase "infinite pleasure," but I no longer pine for the originals when a cut from this album is played.

{#Sleep}

Not meant as a compliment...
...cool - i'd heard about this album, but i'd never heard anything from it before...

that movie made me actually like some 80's music... isn't the 'echo & the bunnymen' (original?) version there?

That sound you hear is the soul being sucked out of a great song. Kill this one soon Bill. Just delete it, we won't tell.
please delete this version from existence.

agreed. this version, not so much. needs the angered/troubled emotion of ian mccullugh to make it work word

I concur. Why do artists think that they can just re-record another group's song and get away with it? Listening to this version is a waste of time. Explaining why under my Doctrine of Covers is even a waste of time. Listening to this song is kind of like listening to Modern English's cover of THEIR OWN song "Melt with You" that sounded like the original but was different enough only to be annoying.

WEIRD. I quoted you as saying "Much inferior to The Church" and the quote is showing up in this editor as saying "Much inferrior to the bunnymen" - which is more accurate albeit with typos. this version is nice but kinda blah. but still kind of nice.
Much inferrior to the bunnymen

Anybody wanna play the Sounds Like game? I say Bruce Cockburn.
Pearl Jam, if they were from the South. Bruce is definitely from "the North." Still pretty good.

Not bad but Echo's version is vastly better.
Very much agreed.

Doesn't have the same moody feel that Echo and the Bunnymen version has.

I think I actually like this version better
I haven't decided if I actually like this or not yet.

With you on that. I'd much rather hear Echo.
yeah, he sucked all the life out of the song. :(
Echo & Bunnymen remake quite well done - this song reminds me of the 1980's

maybe. i think i'd need to hear more of his Buffalo stuff before i could really dig a covers album.

Sorry. Still not feelin' the love.

Second new song from this album on RP. After I rated it a 3, I thought I remembered the cover and looked on for what I rated the other song I heared. It was a 4. Better not buy this album then.

not impressed by this album so far. :( would rather hear the originals.
