Key changes in songs bug me. They basically say to the listener, "Well, that's all there is. So we're just gonna play all the same stuff again, but a half step higher. Maybe it will sound new to you again."

Respect to Duane Eddy. Still, key changes are mostly disappointing. :-)

Very cool. But, given that description, I'd say that's more reverb then reverb in that it's the actual recording of sound reflection as opposed to the modeling of it in digital or the faking of it with springs/plates.

My upload--thanks to B&R for adding it! A famous rock instrumental, often covered by other artists, though Duane Eddy was the *original* king of twang. Duane was one of the first rock stars of the lp album era; this is from his first and most highly regarded lp. His guitar sound is of course also very influential--you hear its echoes in everything from Santo and Johnny to Calexico.
