Shed a tear 'cause I'm missin' you, I'm still alright to smile
Girl, I think about you everyday now
Was a time when I wasn't sure but you, set my mind at ease
There is no doubt you're in my heart now

Said woman, take it slow, it'll work itself out fine
All we need is, just a little patience
Said sugar, make it slow, and we'll come together fine
All we need is just a little patience

(''Patience'') Mmm, yeah

I sit here on the stairs, 'cause I'd, rather be alone
If I can't have you right now, I'll wait dear
Sometimes, I get so tense, but I can't speed up the time
But you know love, there's one more thing to consider

Said woman, take it slow, and things will be just fine
You and I'll just, use a little patience
Said sugar, take the time, 'cause the lights are shining bright
You and I've got, what it takes to make it

We won't fake it
Oh, I'll never break it
'Cause I can't take it

A little patience, mm yeah, ooh yeah
Need a little patience, yeah
Just a little patience, yeah
Some more patience, yeah

I've been walkin' these streets (''Yeah'') at night
Just tryin' to get it right (''Could use some patience'')
It's hard to see, with so many around (''Yeah'')
You know I don't like, being stuck in the crowd (''Could use some patience'')
And the streets don't change, but (''Yeah'') baby the name
I ain't got time for the game (''Everybody have some patience'')
'Cause I need you
Yeah-e-yeah, (''Yeah'') well I need you
Ooh, (''All it takes is patience'') I need you
Whoa, (''Just a little patience'') I need you
Ooh, (''Is all you need'') this time

Exactly right
decent band with a half dozen great songs.  this is one of them.   solid 9 for lots of reasons.
Ah high school, good times. And some good tunes. This aged better than 95% of the hard rock bands from those days.
Somehow, all I can think of is this...

wat? Did not see this one coming. Woulda perferred "November Rain" but bravo to Bill for baiting the RP purists
Hey Dudes, take another toke and chill out! Not everything on any "radio" station is going to please everyone, so let the folks that appreciate this enjoy it, and they will sit achingly through your favorite tunes. It's a give and take thing here, man. {#Meditate}
7... just for the nostalgia!

One great RnR band that's under played on RP

Great band, but possibly the most irritating voice in the world.

When my husband and I got married 22 years ago, we had a pretty tight budget, so there was no money for a band. The place where we had the reception had a nice stereo system so I made some mixtapes. Mostly I just went through all our LPs and picked out the love songs and transferred them to a couple of Maxell cassettes. This song was one of them. The only other one I remember now is The Beatles When I'm Sixty-Four.

And today is our anniversary. Amazing.

You were forewarned, from the homepage, "RP is a blend of many styles and genres of music, carefully selected and mixed by two real human beings. You'll hear modern and classic rock, world music, electronica, even a bit of classical and jazz."
While I don't really think this song is a 10, I'm gonna give it one just to offset the haters. GNR gets a bad rap because Axl is an assclown, but musically these guys were WAY better than the 'hair bands' they had the unfortunate luck to be contemporaries with. I firmly believe they only were in that group because that was the fashion, but they actually made decent rock and roll with some substance, other than the empty pop and fashion of groups like Poison, et. al. I think they really do deserve to be classed more with Led Zepplin than Whitesnake...

And personally they were a transition for me... at about age 12, they were my transitition from pop music into a more serious rock, and opened the door to liking Nirvana, and then later alt rock bands.
Guns N' Roses - Patience
Elephant Revival - Barefoot Friend

I'm trying to spot the segue and it must be the cover art on this one... "elephant gives birth to midget!"

I like the variety of music on RP, but guns and rose are crap and so is this song. Please no more...

G & R on RP...WTF?

I can't believe I'm hearing this hear. I don't know if I like this on RP or not...

I'll second that!  BTW my brother lives in Revelstoke - love it there visit every winter for boarding and finally visited in the summer this year.  He's in the Big Eddie neighbourhood....
I was away from the computer and had to come running back to see if this really was playing on RP.
Respect. These dudes were true rock stars.

Guns n'Roses was great, was my favourite group when i was 15!! this is a nice song

guns n'roses
Hmm. I've never been right keen on songs with whistling in, tuneful or otherwise {#Whistle}. An ok song, but goes in one ear and out the other without leaving any trace of its passage. Time for a tea break, which is sorely needed after an excellent RP sequence up to this number

This group had potential but I don't think it was in stars or maybe in the egos. This was a good song but I think you had to be younger to appreciate their mediocre music. That is all!
Wow, did I just mildly enjoy a Guns 'n' Roses song? Oh Radio Paradise, you never cease to surprise me.

Oh wait — here comes Axl Rose's trademark gritty whining. Ugh. Now downgrading my rating from a 5. Please don't ever play this again.
An Awesome group - One group that is under played on RP

I"m going to start this at eight, but it could go to nine if Bill plays it some day in the future when I'm in a particularly giving mood. G&R made a very real contribution to rock & roll. I'm still trying to work out what it was, but I'm glad Bill is giving them a place here at RP.

Patience to Patience? Well done, Bill.

what a great song...hey man if you don't like this whole style of music that's fine, Simon and Garfunkle are coming shortly for you...but for those into hard rock and all that entails, GnR are/were awesome...love 'em...the reason I can listen to RP all day is because of the diversity...I love hearing an old sab or GnR tuine but also like pretty much everything else they play...to varying degrees...thx RP...

Welcome to the jungle is pretty bad ass to

and miss out on the "soothing" voice of this guy??

A great band. I am dissappointed to see that RP only has this song in its catalogue and has never played it. It should be recognized that they are great musicians, and the duo Slash-Izzy is probably the best guitar duo in the whole history of rock and roll. "Estranged", their cover of "It's all right" or even "November Rain" perfectly fits in the RP catalogue.

Estranged and November Rain: two of the greatest epics in RocknRoll history!

Is it just me or has RP gotten back on track with stellar play lists again? was a little thin there for a few months... Welcome Back Bil... quality has returned

Well said CK.....It is nice to have RP rolling with good music again.....

How about we make it a crybaby free zone?

ever so played out

Like the whistling part.  The rest is your stereotypical late 1980's/early 1990's "I'm a bad boy in spandex but I have a sensitive side" fare. Ho hum.

Fail. Can't stand the whistling
What in the wide world of sports?! RP, you've gone crazy! You're f-ing cray-zay, oh my-eye!

{#Whistle}...liked it from the first listening. #9

Nobody in rock was close to these guys in the early 90s.

"used to do a little but a little wouldn't do it so a little got more and more"

How about some Izzy Stradlin' and the Ju Ju Hounds? Good ol' Bluesy Rock.

Really? (This was always my favorite of the few of theirs I liked)

No effing way!  Sweet Action!
Good
A GREAT SONG

C'Mon! Just once or twice. It'll be a nice brief break from the norm. A little GNR won't hurt anyone.

As opposed to Charles Manson whose song they covered. A pathetic and tasteless act from a pathetic band. Any half decent outfit wouldn't have to resort to that crap to get a headline.

I agree but I would prefer Sweet Child  :-)

Come on, Bill. I dare you!
PLAY IT NOW OR ELSE! WHY ARE YOU NOT PLAYING IT IT S THE BEST DAMN SONG OF 1987 EVER!
Sounds different from their huge hits like: Welcome to the Jungle or Paradise City, this song is more restrained and Axle Rose's voice is cool at the end of the song. Still, I'm not a fan of the Guns N'Roses.
RP really needs to acknowledge the fact that GnR did some good music and therefore feature a few of their songs such as Sweet Child.. or preferably Civil War.
Let's hear it.
