my first thought was a bad The The tune, but Everlast takes it to a whole new level...down

Albums are good, live is another story. Saw him open for The Black Crowes and Lenny Kravitz in 1998. His band was a bit loose, maybe just a bad night. Wasn't he the singer for House of Pain?
saw the same tour that year in Raleigh, NC. It wasn't a 'bad night' unfortunately! Everlast and his band were very disappointing to me too......loose as you stated....just awful really.

I'd much rather jump around than listen to this again.
aren't the lyrics at the end of this taken from Eryka Badu?
besides the 'tin can' upside the head (give it a rest)--and the charlatan's organ--a good groove indeed.....

kid's been thru alot, remains one great artist, and one bad cat...
The thing about Everlast is that they got a point, and they know how to transmit it. Songs like "What it's like" is a song I myself never get tired of, and it's quite "old". The vocalist is pretty decent as well, and though I can't stand rap, I can stand Everlast.
He's got a cool sound. And the song is ok.
