Nah, sloppy drumming... Meaningless cover of a truly great Grandaddy tune.
UGH!!!
eh! i'd still go for that distorated guitar instead of the violin.
8.
Another velvety smooth transition by Bill!
I'd love to hear the original.
Actually a really interesting cover! The vocals are a bit weird though.
I lowered my rating from an 8 to 4 because the violins now sound a bit harsh after several listenings.
Wow I was gonna say this sounds like Coldplay but it got way more interesting before I ended my post.

28 days later? that intro sounds exactly like the theme to that movie, or another i'm thinking of, that violin plays it again! anyone?
You are correct- although the orginal version by Grandaddy is in the film (scene in the grocery store). Appeals to the ear no matter which version you hear :)

Interesting segue -- thought it might have been a 2nd movement of 'Waiting for Snow' -- 'til the vocals.... Hmmmmmmm....

Reminicent of Jeff Buckley
Usually I agree with you, but what's wrong with Jeff Buckley?
Reminicent of Jeff Buckley
miles better than the original, in my mind. love those squeaky violins.
those violins really make this song worth something
bah humbug...
i have heard this on RP a LOT lately. i like it, but hearing it this much could make me turn.
Very nice. Maybe music like this is a way to get kids listening to stringed instruments besides just guitars!
Sounds like a Devotchka ripoff.
Rough around the edges....I like it! Thanks R&B!
whoa, i never thought i would hear a grandaddy cover

Where is this from?
It's originally a Grandaddy song from Under The Western Freeway. The original is a bit mental and guitary, but a good song. This is an amazing cover - so different it took me ages to cotton on.
I've heard another version of this song... it's much more synthetic-sounding. Is it this same group, or are these guys doing a cover? Anybody know? Bueller? lol
Nice cover! (It's a Grandaddy track)
Where is this from?
