Come with me
I want to show you something
You don't see
You've given up trying
Watch the leaves
Rustling in the wind
The summer breeze
That's living and dying
Ah, Ah

Come with me
Remember when you were
So carefree
Laughing not crying
Spin around
And listen carefully
Can you hear the sound
Of living and dying

It's amazing, it's amazing, this amazing life
It's amazing, it's amazing, this amazing life

Come with me
Stop making it so hard
You can be
Laughing not crying
Nothing's changed
Just got to recognise
That it's a game
Of living and dying
Ah, Ah

It's amazing, it's amazing, this amazing life
It's amazing, it's amazing, this amazing life
It's amazing, it's amazing, this amazing life
It's amazing, it's amazing, this amazing life

Come on now baby please
Just look around
Look around it's there
It's good to feel alive
Feel alive, feel alive
This amazing life

It's good to feel alive
Feel alive, feel alive
This amazing life
This amazing life
Relax it's easy, relax it's easy
This amazing life

Come on now baby please
This amazing life
Come on, come on, come on with me
Relax it's easy, relax it's easy
Look around, look around

I recently went to a punk show where they played Tom Jones in between bands.  It worked perfectly, actually.

this is the dumbest thing I have heard of anyone doing in awhile. Sure hope this isn't keeping you from the important things in life

What an amazing song...simply amazing!! (I love the word amazing btw.)

You should talk. "bokey"?

Clearly stolen from Pokey, faithful companion of Gumby and a true Claymation artist and character. You're trying to fill some might big (horse)shoes my friend. And you should mention where you lifted it from every time you use it.

More seriously, Rootboy != Fatboy. Similar doesn't count.

And bokey has put a pretty sinister gloss on the act of adapting a name, which might actually be an act of respect or tribute.  Elton John cribbed his from famous bluesmen Elton Dean and Long John Baldry because he embraced their great music.  That's OK, right?  Fat Boy Slim does a lot of sampling.  Maybe sampling someone else's name is just part of the gig.

Sounds like a Dido arrangement.  Very sexy.
Great show, sure miss it

Seriously, time to let the balloons go man! I'm sure such names like "bigboy" and "slim" were never (*scoff*) known in our culture before either artist was even born.

That's funny stuff! Sexy song too!
Jem... she is truly outrageous... Truly, truly outrageous!

Would dig hearing a little Fatboy Slim in this set. 5:00 pm - Jem - Amazing Life 4:53 pm - Cantoma - Marisi
This in combination with the accompanying finale sequence in Six Feet Under seriously made me cry. I'm not an emotional guy, but it really got to me.

love the groove, gets me in the groove, keeps me in the groove, I love that Jem, is this her first release since breaking away from the holograms for a solo career? hehehee I do like it though, honest!
I've noticed several songs that I would only hear on RP showing up in TV commercials - is this because the marketing firms want to pick songs that sound good, but that most people haven't heard before, and therefore don't have preconceptions about? Because they also pick really famous songs, presumably with another purpose in mind.

Its nice to hear a female singer thats NOT a breathy soprano.
She may not be breathy, but perhaps that's because she has a head cold. Or huge adenoids.
Sounds like Dido..

Easy fix: Turn off your TV! :)
Isn't a Jem a type of Jewel? Just wondering... 5

Hey, now, are you my husband in disguise? He's been known to go by the handle dragonfish (like you, a pisces born in 1976, year of the dragon), and we saw Jem together a few years ago at Alice in Winterland (concert put on by a local radio station). Hmmm...looking at your profile you appear to be a female from Portland. Okay, maybe not my husband. Still, you're right, she is tiny but gave a great, very energetic live performance. I thought she stole the show. And her album is great (although it doesn't have this song on it.)

I think it's better to just watch less TV. It tends not to spoil things so much... :)
bill's been watching car commercials....
Came in at the beginning of this set. Absolutely wonderful! Jem - Amazing Life Cantoma - Marisi Eels - From Which I Came/A Magic World Pink Floyd - Fearless Poe - Walk The Walk Anne Wylie Band - Silver Apples of the Moon James - Waltzing Along Robyn Hitchcock - Balloon Man U2 - Wild Honey Van Morrison - These Dreams Of You
This song is way overplayed on RP

Not bad - at first I thought it was Poe recording under a different name (she's had some contract problems lately). Really good. Might hafta pick this one up.
Pretty good

Oh yes, Meghan. Back in the day I would have given anything to be Jem or one of her Rockers!

::chortles uncontrollably:: Good one. I like Jem a whole bunch, I'd never have heard her AT ALL if it weren't for RP. So once again, thanks Bill!

I do not know about this Six Feet Under album, but a friend of mine just played a Jem disc for me the other day, and it was pretty sweet. If you have heard of Splashdown, it is like that (which is to say, it rocks), but with more slow tunes.
Real nice song from a fantastic TV series. I was actually introduced to Six Feet Under *after* hearing this song RP and decided to look it up.

I've never heard of her, but when I saw her name I couldn't help but think of 'Jem and the Rockers'. Oh man...
Love Jem!
