Not at all danceable?  Boogie down, dude!  Like it says:  Skip, Hop, Wobble!

Bought this on a whim and love it.  Jerry is a very talented person.  I do not even begrudge him playing with Mumford and Sons.

I can't find my copy of this, and it's driving me nuts.

Somehow I doubt it, but I can't get enough... other people can suck it.

Just used the PSD for the first time and got Garbage Milk in my ears. Nice!

Oh, Stingy, you're such a caution. You amaze me how willing you are to consistently lead with your utter lack of musical knowledge. Tell me, why do you listen to RP?
{#Music}
I really like this !!!

Sounds pretty bad for him. Love this album.
Just turned it up, now I have goosebumps.
Turn it up...the harmonies will give you goosebumps!

Jerry Douglas has such a distinctive sound: you don't realize how many times you've heard him until he's up front like this. Wonderful stuff.

Made me look!

Goin on the "must buy" list.

All three of these guys are MONSTER musicians, IMHO.  Excellent CD.  8 ==> 9

Fresh.  Makes me want to ditch work and head out into the desert for the day.....{#Bananajam}

Anything with Edgar Meyer is worth a listen. He is simply astounding!
That bass Edgar plays dates around 1783 or so. I Have one of his solo CD's. There is not much one can do with a uprite bass solo but he gives it his all. It's not one of them CD's I keep in regular rotation.
knopfleroid. Knopflerian. Knopfleresque.
Wow I can't believe I have yet to come in thie forum to proclaim my undying awe of the man JERRY DOUGLAS. Listen to that dobro solo. Dude's channelling the gods I tellsya.
That was pretty nice.
In a most agreeable groove Thanx again Bill
Glad that this song that I uploaded a while back is as well loved by others. This is the first time I've actually caught it being played.

Jerry Douglas is amazing, saw him play with Allison Krause and Union Station. He's been around a long time , logging sessions with the Dobbbie Bros., etc...Who'd thunk that sliding a metal bar over a guitar could make such a soulful sound!
Uh, the Dobbbie Bros.??

Amen to that. This album got a great write-up in the New York Times when it came out, I believe. This was a one-off, wasn't it? , I gather these guys are big stars on their own just got together for this work. Does anybody have any idea if they're gonna work together again?
Fine musicians. Bet they'd be fun to see live.

yay a bug song!
I must be old because I can remember when Mike Auldridge was the shizzit(edit-ouch, must be trying to prove I'm not. Did I say that ?) Jerry reminds me of John Coltrane,Les Paul or Stefan Grapelli. Same instrument and notes as everybody else but a totally unique and identifiable sound.
Very nice! Tight band, smooth feel.

Well, looking at the "Artist:" and at the album cover, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess Jerry Douglas.

Jerry rocks for sure. Saw him with Alyson Krauss. Great music way way way too much B.S.ing about rubbish. Two hour concert with 50 minutes of talking. Uck, wanted my money back.

Second listen, got me bopping here - upped from 7 to 8
Purty!
Can someone tell me more about these artists? I like the music, no idea who they are.....my bad :(
LOVE IT! This song kicks it! Incredible album. Thanks for brightening my morning again, RP!
Fantastic album.
Nice transition from Lindley. Could hear him playing this.

Bass, dobro & guitar. No banjo. But I agree, really nice (as is the rest of the album).
