Sure, but it's their self-confidence to show, who's turn is on now.

RP introduced me to them. Now I like a LOT of their tunes!!  Thanx RP!
I don't know who this band is, but I love them for their album cover.
The more I hear this, the more I like it!!  Thanx RP!    PS: their name reminds me of a law firm!

My first thought!!
I can only think of Ron Burgundy playing a flute .... nicht gut
Bullet the Blue Sky !!!

with some Jethro Tull flute thrown in ...
I really like this, but the cover is a bit lazy.   Not that it is a rip off.  What I mean is that the posing is not quite right.

-G's hand is wrong.
- S's head is not turned correctly.
- G's eyes are almost right.
- The shoulder spacing is way off.  I think G's arm should be around S's shoulders.
- The album title is too high and uses the wrong font.

Why not get it exact?

Still....a 9 for the music.

Absolutely ...reminds me of my teenage years. 90s had quite a variety of good music
In the late 90s, I was with my wife in an Amsterdam coffee house. The coolest soundtrack was playing.  I asked our friendly host, who is this playing? He yelled to a guy in the back. A voice yelled back. Our host relayed the reply, "it's Kruder & Dorfmesiter." I said, you're kiddin' me ma, thinking they were goofing on the American tourist. He said, "no. for real. It's Kruder AND Dorfmeister." When we got back, I immediately bought the K&D Sessions.  It kinda changed my life. They opened a door to whole new genres for me.

Yes, they could have combined the two names into "Krudmeister".

OK music. Blasphemous cover rip off. Cool idea, but they aren't really pulling it off.

What are they trying to "pull off"? It's obviously an imitation of the Simon & Garfunkle album cover. I don't think they're trying to disguise the fact.  I'd be more conflicted about an approximate imitation that just looks sorta like the S&G album cover, hoping nobody would notice. Besides, and I'm gonna quote wiki here:

"Imitation (art) is the doctrine of artistic creativity according to which the creative process should be based on the close imitation of the masterpieces of the preceding authors. This concept was first formulated by Dionysius of Halicarnassus in the first century BCE as imitatio, and has since dominated for almost two thousand years the Western history of the arts and classicism;[1] in the 18th century, Romanticism reversed it with the creation of the institution of romantic originality.[1] In the 20th century, the modernist and postmodern movements in turn discarded the romantic idea of creativity, and heightened the practice of imitation, copying, plagiarism, rewriting, appropriation and so on as the central artistic device.

¹The doctrine of imitation, to which Nodier indirectly refers, had of course dominated classicism from its inception, when Du Bellay recommended it in the Defense et illustration de la langue francaise. The rejection of that doctrine was a basic tenet of romanticism; as Hugo put it in his preface to the 1826 edition of Odes et ballades, 'celui qui imite un poete romantique devient necessairement classique, puisqu'il imite.' "

Not that that means you gotta get on board with it. It's just an art thing, is all I'm sayin'.

The cover strikes me as Hans & Franz from SNL mid 80's.
Kevin Nealon & Mike Myers.

"Blasphemous"?  Is there now a Richard Avedon/Simon & Garfunkel religion?  As if no one else has deliberately parodied or mimicked another album cover.  I think they pull off this musical idea pretty well but opinions obviously vary.
Simon and Garfunkel album cover ?
RP. play more jazz. an 8 4 me

6.

Ditto. I wouldn't even give this a 6. Meh.
these guys did an unbelievably beautiful version of Lamb's "Trans Fatty Acid" that blows me away to this day.  I won't hear a word said against them.

I think its very decent background music, which would make it a 4 for me. Now if we had a "background music rating system"....that would be another story.
I like the beats but find the flute grating.

Have given these guys many chances over the years to work their way into my rotations but always come up short. Harmless background music but not much more for me.

That flute sounds so much like St. Germain, any relationship besides being the same genre of music?
Ian Anderson blows--like this!

Awesome - I thought exactly the same thing when the picture popped up on the screen. Yeah, this is almost cool...but not quite there.
Oh Yeah!
I'm sorry, but the flute isn't doing enough at all for me to keep this from sounding way too repetitive. The drums are way too boring. I'm not into this. *shrug*

Hey, Aqualung!
Even with Art Garfunkle playing the flute, its not going any higher than 6 with me. Definitely 60's barscene music, as somebody said below.
