When I was younger, I believed that dreams came true
Now, I wonder
'cause I have seen much more of dark skies than blue
Now, I wonder

I keep on praying for a blue sky
I keep on searching through the rain
I keep on thinking of the good times
Will they ever come again?
Now, I wonder
Now, I wonder

I keep on praying for a blue sky
I keep on searching through the rain
I keep on thinking of the good times
Will they ever come again?
Now, I wonder
Now, I wonder

When I was younger, I believed that I could win
Now, I wonder
There was a time when you and I walked hand in hand
Now, I wonder

I keep on searching for the old me
I keep on thinking I can change
I keep on hoping for a new day
Will I ever feel the same?
Now, I wonder
Oh, I wonder
Now, I wonder

Terribly pathetic lyrics. The song is nice, but... really?
And especially when you consider the probability the song is about him...

Hard to hear him w/o thinking of SF... fog, surf, places and people...

"I'll get you Penelope Pitstop"

He's not too bad...but he gets a lot of airplay
Poor guy, .....I wonder if Chris will ever be happy? {#Wink}

Chris is anything but a "girly-man". He is an excellent (by all accounts) surfer and a boxer.

He's probably smarter than you, too, genius-boy. {#Sealed} {#Roflol} {#Wave}

Dangit Bill, you did it again!

The melancholy note of this tune fits the way I feel to a tee. Dang.

I agree. This whole album is just such a perfect fit. One song flows into the other. A must for any trip to Mexico or the tropics.

And that would be because Tom Cruise is freakin' insane.

I like the guitar work. Sounds like his side-man went to the Mark Knopfler school of tastey licks.
He obviously went to a much better school than Knopfler...

The guitar work in this is simply sublime. I like pretty much everything CI has done, but this song is certainly a top ten for me. Even the lyrics have fit well in certain phases of my life.
It's lovely. I've heard much more on R.P. than in the U.K. That said, most of the good stuff I've bought recently has been as a result of hearing it here.

I start to think that just about every time I hear one of his songs...but then I really start to think about it and realize every single song is about longing and losing. Maybe it's not such a hot deal after all.
I wonder when this song is gunna end...
Good stuff.

yeee haaar!!!....is this cowboy music?
Chris, on the other hand, is someone I can listen to all day long

That was outstandingly funny. Good thing I am a hetero girl, then. He just reinforces my natural bent.

Is that a thumbs up or down for the song?
I like the guitar work. Sounds like his side-man went to the Mark Knopfler school of tastey licks.
If I ever meet Chris I'm going to ask him if there's just one chick he wrote 300 or so sad love songs about or a whole bunch.

Yeah, just ask the swooning chix what they think about him.
This album is a must for any bachelor's record collection!!!
You should hear him channel Roy Orbison!
Have been a fan for a long time. He's got a good sense of humor also

Have to hand it to you, sometimes your pithy comment is right on the mark. Good one! (But 90% of them are crap.)

Not bad. Do I hear the ghost of Ricky Nelson?
I love this whole album....

This song floats on air...
Mmmmm, Chris Isaak,
Great stuff. Too bad his mother didn't teach him to keep his socks pulled up, though.
Yummy!
I guess it wasn't a "big glasses" set; it is a "greased back hair" set!

Fortunately that didn't keep him from being tortured enough to write this song. :)
Hubba Hubba. Love that voice.

Nice one. Sounds almost good enough to be a Marshall Crenshaw tune. Seriously.
....yawn.....
You go Chris (and Bill)!
Is that a line from 'Oliver Twist'? "...more , please." A 9.
I could hear this anytime!
Hap Hap Huzzah! For Chris :)
Nice and mellow. Perfect for a lazy day.
This is worse than Rusted Root
I was starting to worry about this set too! Something about his voice just calms me so completely. And I'm not usually game for the twang...
OH!! a new Chris Isaak added.
