Soft from your lips to the rise of your stomach
Your lungs filled with fingers keep jamming words down my throat
Nothing to steal we've got nothing to love
Nothing to spill because oh we're so innocent oh

Oh on the edge of
Oh on the edge of

I could have built you a house on the ocean
The ocean repeating and receding into the sun

So cut to you dead and now cut to the laughing
Cut through our bodies and lastly into our oh

Oh on the edge of
Oh
Oh on the edge of

Na. If it remotely reminded me of Neil Young, I'd have PSD'd.

Not bad.

Okay, I have to say it:  I guess the reason they only have two children is because they're "practicing" Mormons and don't have it perfected yet...  Really good music, though - I like this song! {#Bounce} *ducks and runs...*

It is difficult to enjoy this song because the accidental digital compression distortion or the deliberate distortion by the musicians is so irritating that it's hard to get past it.

The distortion and dirt is not accidental and I really doubt it's digital.  The producer was Dave Fridman of Mercury Rev fame who also did all the production on The Flaming Lips' biggest albums.  The production is in a similar vein as the Flaming Lips' "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots."  The distortion is an artistic choice that I think works for this band — spacy but wildly dark and complex.  Flood did it best on U2's "Actung Baby" but it's also worked for other artists including The Church on their 2003 album "Forget Yourself."

A great CD. Definitely listen to the whole thing.

Agreed, and very interesting "dirty" production.  Dark, but it really grows on you.

Actually Mimi played the drums, not bass.

A great CD. Definitely listen to the whole thing.

perhaps, as a single out-take from the album, but it you get a chance to give the record a listen from front to back, its a really nice musical ride .. IMHO their best album to date.

9->10 until I remember to buy this from iTunes (I scour my ratings list on radio paradise for buying ideas!)
Had to bump it up from 7 to 8.
Like this a lot!

Great crunchy Neil Young type guitar sounds batman...I like it a lot! {#Good-vibes}

There's hope yet huh?! They could give it up and make better music!

Wow had to stop working and listen..it grabbed me right from the beginning ! Nice...

Always wondered who did this song...love it!
they were GREAT at the SubPop Festival last weekend!

The Curtain Hits the Cast from the mid-1990s is fabulous, start to finish. That is, if you dig this kind of slow-drip melodic vibe with the occassional cacaphonic build.
I feel like I don't have TIME to listen to this song. Is a societal problem?
So refreshing after two Traffic tunes.
One piece of sh*t song follows another piece of sh*t song from Radiohead. Terrible!

I hear Low. Neil is next... I predict.

Isn't that sort of a trademark of theirs? I find that a lot of what they do sounds like a demo rather than a fully finished recording. It took a little getting used to, but it's grown on me. And does anybody else think they sound a bit like X?
I don't hear X in there anywhere, but I like their music a lot, and here in MN they are esteemed for their quirkiness. Everybody hears Neil Young it seems.

I rarely hear it, never remebers who they are and I really, really, like this one. Lovely sound and vocals. The use of a Bigsbylike gives hints to Mr Young mayb the vocals also, but I think they swimming in an own pond

HEAVY! Crusher. Spaceman 3 with a melody.
It's worth a listen - not bad from a band named "Low" hee-hee

IMO you are waaaay off base. This band definitely isn't for everybodies tastes but to say they don't give a damn is rediculous. I'm guessing you haven't heard much, if any, of there material outside of this song to form that opinion.
I came into the room near the end of that,it sounded pretty hypnotic.
Im on the edge of a sucko-barfo rating for this song.
Most of you are probably too young to remember when everyone thought that America's "Horse With No Name" sounded just like Neil Young, well it didn't to me but it did sound like they were trying to sound like him and now with this song I really thought it was Neil Young when it started.
I'm On The Edge of High with Low
Niel Young....wow...what an influence on this band!!!!
I hear Neil, lots of Neil.
Wow wicked guitar sound on this one! Seems more of a Pink Floyd-ish vibe than Neil Young to me. Either way, nice one. Comes through fine at 128kbps
That's some mighty fine distortion, I must say...
This is kinda weird, but I'd swear that this sounds alot like CSN&Y or not?

Is the full name of this lame band, "Low Expectations?" It should be.

Pretty mellow, its a shame that I need some more "pump-up" kind of music right now.
You consider this mellow?
Its like Neil Young... except without Neil Young's bloated festering ego.
I like the song but the quality is so poor it makes me run for the mute button. Music=7 Quality=1
awful kerning

Its sound is better now at 192K, but the CD sounds much better, of course. That highly distorted guitar just doesn't make it through the ether in one piece. Nice song.

I've loved these guys since Curtain Hits the Cast. Darkly atmospheric, quasi religious lyrics. From a Mormon couple in Duluth!
Edge of seems like an unfinished song to me. The powerful, enchanting opening leads to a second half that feels a bit like another song. Fun to listen anyway, and I really like the group.

I hear Aimee Mann and Neil Young. That would be pretty cool.
When this song started, I thought I was hearing a wall-O-sound-type cover of Neil Young's Country Girl
Heavy sound. Still like it.

i like california better, but this isn't bad. thank's for rockin' my friday, bill. just one request, no more neville brothers please. that includes arron's solo stuff.
This song keeps grabbing my attention. I'm surprised to discover from AMG that this band has been around long enough to release 5 studio albums. I think I'll be adding this to my music wishlist.
wow bill you're the man. 3 killer jams in a row, i'm loving it, good thing boss didn't step in so I didn't have to turn it down \:D/

people doing what has been done before is biblical. everyone is influenced by everyone. besides, neil young is fantastic... nothing wrong with sounding like something extremely good. i'll take that over trying to sound like tiffany.
