I said man, can you help me out?
Bring me back to love
Bring me back to life

Oh why should I care?

I said how, could you keep me out?
Without a wish to share
So without a doubt

Oh then why should I care?

We have been warned
It's a classic sign
It's a wicked mind
With an axe to grind

When is it our, our turn?
So why should we care?

Yeah we have been warned
It's a classic sign
Why should we care?

If this is our last summer
Oh then why should we care?

If this could be our last summer
Then why should we care?

Wow,  no recent plays?  ....what a great song;  and group.  Quite underrated!
Whiney, and the death metal flirt riffs even, cannot bring this song above the level of cheap shot kitschy dog dung.

A chesp shot shot at best.
Regardless of why it was written, everyone will think of the NSA and Edward when they see the name Snowden. It will forever represent the truth

Yes.  And the snowman as well but everything I have read points to the Catch-22 character as being the point of this song. My family name is Snowden. When they turned the guy over in the movie and he was, in effect, wearing my dad's fatigues I almost threw up. A little too real when your dad had just come back from Nam.

The mountain in Wales is Snowdon, not Snowden.
They put on a great show a few years back. Can't wait to see them again.
The drummer is fabulous. Bravo
I know there are those that don't like this.... so be it. {#Nyah} I still turn this up really loud everytime I hear it.

I thought this was Coldplay at first. But still, it's outstanding.
this track made me turn the volume down.  i especially dislike the ascending electric violin sounds.  i am so beyond star trek.
I think this is quite likable, in spite of it's Cold Play sound ...

+1

i really like this song... if RP is playing this, maybe Swervedriver (Mezcal Head) should be on the play list. its the same sound but 13 years earlier. this to me is clearly a rip off of that cd.

I thought this was going to be Flaming Lips (before the singing started).  I was excited, but then let down...but not too far, I rated this a 7 in the past, let's see if it holds up!

I thought this was going to be Coldplay.
I love the Doves, me too !

That was Yosarian (sp) and that book defines the word "funny." Major Major, who was in when he wasn't, and out when he was in. Milo Mindbender shorting the cotton market by bombing his own base... The patient in the hospital with a total body cast, which had a tube from a bottle running into him and a tube to a bottle running out of him. When the bottle on top became empty they simply took the one that was by now full from the tube running out, and switched them around. The movie didn't touch the book for genius and character development. I give Catch 22 a 10 and this tune a 5.
Just add binger. Awesome. Solid 9.

More like RKO Pictures, after King Kong or Mighty Joe Young smacked the hell out of it.
So not cool!

Funny, I could have sworn it was a monster from Saturday Afternoon, creature double features. At least it sounds like a monster Godzilla would have fought.

a most excellent read. There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one's safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind. Orr was crazy and could be grounded. All he had to do was ask; and as soon as he did, he would no longer be crazy and would have to fly more missions. Orr would be crazy to fly more missions and sane if he didn't, but if he was sane he had to fly them. If he flew them he was crazy and didn't have to; but if he didn't want to he was sane and had to. Yossarian was moved very deeply by the absolute simplicity of this clause of Catch-22 and let out a respectful whistle. "That's some catch, that Catch-22," observed. "It's the best there is," Doc Daneeka agreed.

i always mix up doves with elbow.
I like that creepy, science fiction movie howling at the beginning. It reminds me of the Star Trek theme.

Having walked up Mount "Snowdon" (Wales) and then listening to this I can confirm that both are excellent for totally different reasons..........

It sounds like the background music to a bad sci-fi movie from the 60's. And after i wrote this I took a look at the cover art above...there you have it!

Here is your "Rip-Off Artists"... Oh, and it "theirs" not "there's" (AKA "there is").
All hail the theremin.
Wasn't this used in the first "Heavy Metal" movie? Or at least the angelic chanting part I know for sure. Or did they sample a 20 year old obscure background sound from a highly under rated movie?
Ok, someone did this song by doing the tutorial manual "Brit-Pop for Dummies"... Sucks big time, this bloody crap!
...somewhere in the interstitial between felt mountain, nights in white satin, and amnesiac i can hear this...

I was in the other room and had to come back in when I heard this. Without having the playlist in front of me, the vocals sounded like it was a Tears For Fears song.

Evokes memories of the cheesy Star Trek series on TV in the late 60s.

My hat's off to you, bigV, not everyone can insult someone in two languages at the same time. Did you translate that especially for me, or are you Polish? However, I can assure you that I have no sticks in any of my orifices. Interesting though that my use of two adjectives to describe a piece of music would evoke such a graphic, homoerotic image for you. Why do you think that is? One final question. What does the "V" in bigV stand for, vacuity?
I like the album art's twist on the old RKO Pictures logo.

Starts with a good clean sound and builds well. If my headphones were better, I might give it a better rating. ;) I like it.

Often, yes. But it never warrants insulting someone. You did, after all, say he had a stick in his ass. And unless you can see it (ewww), that sounds like an insult to me. Anyway, I'm still diggin' this tune.

OH NO YOU DIH IN'T! (oh yes you dih id.) ;)
My dad used to play this song all the time. I never knew what this song was called or even who it was by. Then I listened to Radioheads "The Bends" and heard the song "High and Dry". For the longest time,I thought High and Dry was the one my dad played. I was doing my homework one day and listening to RadioParadise and heard Snowden. I asked my dad if he had the Some Cities album, and sure enough, he did. My whole point is, Snowden and High and Dry sound similar. Snowden - from AOL Music High and Dry - from Music Portal
Top Mountain. Top Tune.
"And we can't upset the lovely Snowden, now can we?" 7. Bumping it up a little, the instrumental weirdness is fun & groovy.
Warp 5 Mr. Scott!

Star Trek all the way...
could that be a theremin in the background?
A touch of electronica, a dash of psychedelia, a smidge(heehee i said smidge)of rock/pop, and some nice lyrics. These guys write some good sh*t!!

Sounds suspiciously like The Flaming Lips' "Race for the Prize" in spots. That's okay, though.

exactly...they are not bad, but they need to learn to do more with less. the end result sounds like they didn't really know what they wanted from the song so they just tried a ton of different things that don't really work too well together--and some of it definately DOES sound like a ripoff of "Do you realize"
