OH MY GOD! I remember bouncing to this song in kindergarten...we had a weird "music teacher" lady, and she made us jump up and down to this silly tune. I'm not sure if I'm pleased by the memory or embarassed!
At the time the original was groundbreaking, showing off that relatively new phenomenon, the Moog synthesizer.
WoooHoooo!!!! Such a cool memory!
cool version of a very annoying song LOLOLOL Oscar
Hey, thanks Bill. I learned of this band from your site, and have tracked down nearly all their stuff. They were an amazing instrumental group. As a fan of surf stuff, they were a great addition to my collection. Too bad they aren't around anymore. Keep playin' em please!
Tuned in and recognized the tune in one note. And that's all I needed to hear.

Wouldn't it be nice to hear the original version?
:nodhead: Yes, I would much prefer the original.
Ok that is cheesier then a tramps dingaling, but loads of fun!!
Wouldn't it be nice to hear the original version?
Suddenly I'm back in Jr. High School! Thanks Bill!

Actually, Dick Dale has a pretty rockin' "Hava Naglia" on one CD, as well...

I have a version of Hava Negila by Dick Dale.
Ok, so can anyone name the video game that used this song as theme music?
Its for song's like this that us true RP junkies stick around-just for the thrill of it!
Oh, great. Now we have COVER versions of pop (excuse the pun) novelty instrumentals. Except the entire point of the original -- if there was one -- the "popping" sound (that actually sounded more like bubbles than popcorn, but who's quibbling?) is now gone, and what's left is a sort of not terribly good surf tune. This bothers me because* *this recording is actually a footnote to a footnote!

8) Awesome - so nice to hear the instrumental surf sound! Thank you.
8) These guys were pretty cool playing live... Good times!

Oh relax, it's only like 1:30 min long.
Dick Dale plays your Bar Mitzvah!! I kind of dig it.

Speaking from the viewpoint of a Crankbait fisherman....uh...you wanna steer clear o' them treble hooks!
Yuck. I'm not happy to hear this again.
Wow you find the most obscure stuff! Love it. Takes me back to I think 1973??
Evil evil evil. Such an atrocious song does not deserve competent musicians playing it.
gotta love the name!
