Come on, come on
Put your hands into the fire
Explain, explain
As I turn and meet the power
This time, This time
Turning white and senses dire
Pull up, pull up
From one extreme to another

From the summer to the spring
From the mountain to the air
From Samaritan to sin
And it's waiting on the end

Come on, come on
Put your hands into the fire
Explain, explain
As I turn and meet the power
This time, This time
Turning white and sense dire
Pull up, pull up
From one extreme to another

From the summer to the spring
From the mountain to the air
From Samaritan to sin
And it's waiting on the end

and now I'm alone I'm looking out
I'm looking in, way down
The lights are dim
and now I'm alone I'm looking out
I'm looking in, way down
The lights are dim

Ooooh

Come on, come on
Put your hands into the fire
Come on, come on

Hands-off our West Country musicians!!
We have been playing Thirteen Senses songs since 2013, when our show on Frome FM (Waters Edge with Trevor and Steve) started. A great Cornish band who deserve more recognition and radio playtime.
I discovered RP just a few short months ago. Thank you for all your work and also for your excellent taste in music. There is a big overlap in taste and genre  to what we play on our show.
great power pop!
Every time I hear this song it grows on me even more.
Thanks for your great music programm, we love RP in Germany.
I'd have to check dates to see what was released first, but I am hearing more and more Death Cab in more and more groups from the early 2000's.  I am thinking Ben Gibbard was more influential than I ever realized.
come on come on - put your head inside the fire
Wow do they have a Coldplay sound of them
This is delicious and speeds its way right into my happy playlist. Thanks, Bill.
The CPlay references amuse me- I get it but am not going there. These guys deserve recognition on merit for being very good.
This song makes me feel like a knight of the skies.
...has hints of Keane mixed with a dash of Coldplay. I like it!
Catchy tune!
They sound just like that other band; what's their name?
Who cares, as long as it sounds good?!
Pretty sure this is the closing credits for a sad Grey's Anatomy or Scrubs episode!
Very similar to Travis, Snow Patrol, or as some said, Coldplay. Doesn't matter, it's cool anyway :)
Almost every band on here that sounds like Coldplay, sounds better than Coldplay.
Cool!  I love Coldplay...wait...what?  It's who?  Oh...never mind.

Listened a lot to Cold play?
They have a Doves feel as well. Nice.
Yet another great sounding band I'd never heard of before today!   Getting a Silversun Pickup vibe, too. a good thing in my book.

long live RP
I wish some stuff from their other albums would be added.  The Invitation isn't even their best album IMHO.  Contact and Crystal Sounds are both wildly underrated.

Edit: oops, looks like I'm repeating myself! I forgot I already posted about this
I love this band. I just wish they would add some music from Thirteen Senses' other albums. Crystal Sounds in particular is a cracking album.

I loved "Rescue Me".  Dennis Leary was tops.  Clever concept, sadly missed.
like but sounds like green days boulevard of broken dreams

Okaaaaaayyyyyy .... you just changed my rating from a 7 to a 3.
8 -> 9

Might just be the book I'm reading making me feel something more, but I'm ok with that.

Celts of the Atlantic Isles unite!
This and Do No Wrong are very similar in that they sounded so familiar at first listen and yet were new to me when I heard them on RP

Usually it's a bummer when RP's main page and the pop-up audio player start playing the same song with a slight delay, but this time the non-vocal parts of this song are delay-echoing nicely.

How 'bout those Goldsmiths!
Great vocalist who sings this ballard like a true Irishman. Good to hear about the people who risk their lives to save our forests.
Love Love Love Thirteen Senses!!!
Beautiful. Up beat. Amazing syncopation. A feeling of contrast between the low and the high in tone and lyric, highlighting the up.

First heard Into the Fire years ago on RP and tracked down the album it came off of. It holds up well and I still listen to it regularly. Good stuff.
Good stuff!
Fantastic!
Goosebumps!!

I've never heard this band before. Very enjoyable.
Pretty OK, reminds me of South.

Adore this song.  Very powerful.

Agreed. The voice, the drums, the effects...very much an "it's like I've heard this song before" kind of song. my 2 senses
I think it's an amalgamation (I learned this word in 9th grade!) of contemporary pop rock and indie of the last couple years. It sounds like many different songs but is itself none of them.
"Rescue Me" song....very good. Using the current hit formula.
It's reminding me of "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day (American Idiot).
Fun but familiar.

"Run" by Snow Patrol?
I have been looking for this song, I heard it on the show "Rescue Me". It's a perfect fit for that show.
Love the guitar play, reminds me of The Edge
More like Band of Horses - the Funeral, than anything else.

yes - the singer has that sound

It puts me in mind of being at a football match and screaming "Come on, come ON!" futilely at my team as they go 4-0 down with 10 minutes to play... ;-) This number grows on you, particularly the subtle guitar solo/riff in the background. Nice stuff.

The Shawn Colvin song about the pyromaniac? That's what I heard...

That's exactly what I was thinking! (They're from my hometown -- good guys!)
nice. a bit corny but nice

I love some aspects of this and despise others. I don't like the generic-sounding rhythm guitar (too Snow Patrol) and simplicity of the piano (too Coldplay), but I do like the lead-ish guitar parts, the vocals, and the overall songwriting. The "come on, come on" melody really reminds me of something, but I just can't quite place the song. I'm thinking early-to-mid 90's alt rock. It gives me an extremely nostalgic feeling.
good bridge to this tune.
I heard this song a little while ago and enjoyed it so I downloaded some other songs of theirs. I'm not sure how to exactly explain how I feel about them, I'll just simply say they're not good.

Stevie Wonder - Living For The City (2005-08-18 11:49:51) So very dated. Love it as a classic, as it cannot be loved on the merits. Oh man, the voice at the end--awesome kitsch. Who is that, Grover? Led Zeppelin - Black Dog (2005-08-18 11:40:12) I have never understood the popularity of this song. They can't keep a beat to save their lives and meter is consequently forced over and over. It's jarring and awful. John Stanford - The Edge (2005-08-18 09:25:59) Miami Vice Theme Song Band plays Enya Miles Davis - The Pan Piper (2005-08-18 09:23:05) Truly painful. Like listening to the middle school band room before practice. Only more shrieky. Pink Floyd - The Great Gig In The Sky (2005-08-18 09:16:25) What on earth? Make it stop.
Uh huh.

Oh, the song? 'sokay.
Exactly the "meh" reaction I was posting, but I guess it's OK for you to be "negative".

Rescue Me
As your attorney, I advise you not to put any body parts into the fire.
This is a good tune. Not 100% original, bit goo d nevertheless.
I really don't get the Coldplay comparisons. Ok, they use a piano and male vocalist. By that reasoning, Randy Newman would qualify. There's no repetitive drum and bass and very little falsetto as this guy's range is higher already. That said, this is a very pleasant tune. Not going to move people to weep openly, but certainly listenable.
And up it goes another notch!
Good enough, would like to hear more. The soft-whisper-singing gets a bit tiresome, tho. :-k
good stuff. this song was on grey's anatomy
Recycled coldplay......
Awesome! \:D/
Good song, starting to get a bit much air time though on RP.
Ho hum. Sounds like generic slightly-angsty lite rock

LOL.. I was enjoying this song, smiling as I read through the posts which never cease in their quest to remind me about the wide variety of tastes present. (Plus I learn something every now and then) Then I found this reference to Rachael Rae! Haha. She is adorable, even though I do feel inclined to press the mute button on her now and then. Anyway, just another testament to why I'm addicted to RP. :)
Play Again,please!
is it insane that i thought this was karma police for the first few seconds? 0_o
Heard this over the weekend being used for a new FX series about (appropiately enough) firemen, staring Dennis Leary. Effectively used. Knew I had heard the song on RP, but could not think of the name.
The lead vocalist's voice reminds me quite a bit of Al Stewart. I kept expecting "in the year of the cat" to show up in the lyrics.

... and up goes the volume.
Yeah, I suppose they do have a sound that reminds you of other bands. When I first heard it, I thought Porcupine Tree had gone all poppy or that maybe Kent were singing in English or even a new track by Vast, but that's not a bad thing. I like it.
These guys have a great sound! I like!
Pleasant!
Is the vocalist the guy from The Lightning Seeds?
If they mated: Jump (Little Children) and Coldplay. Which is a good thing, IMO. :)

Sorry for dragging the song rating down, fans of Thirteen Senses: I accidentally rated this a "1" while attempting to do that to Blue October's "Ugly Side," which played just prior to it and which is a truly awful song. Oops. "Into the Fire" isn't so bad. Maybe I can vote again and average it out.
Seems pretty sappy
Liking this quite a bit. Going to need to check out more by Thirteen Senses!
