Balmer's youth hostel, Interlaken Switzerland, summer of '89, EVERY morning at like 5 am, this woke up all us 'kids' staying there. i did not appreciate Cat Stevens' music back then but i do now. i'm glad i've matured in my old age.

I love this version. My only quibble is it is 'recreation' as in to create again (initial long e) as opposed to recreation with a short initial e as in what you do on the playground. Our choir director really hammered that.
I wonder if Billy Joel borrowed a little from the piano interludes between the verses here for his Piano Man...

Played this at my daughter's summer wedding last year, as it went from a rainy morning and the sun broke just in time an hour before the outdoor ceremony....so beautiful and timeless.
