Help, I have done it again
I have been here many times before
Hurt myself again today
And the worst part is there's no one else to blame

Be my friend, hold me
Wrap me up, unfold me
I am small and needy
Warm me up and breathe me

Ouch, I have lost myself again
Lost myself and I am nowhere to be found
Yeah, I think that I might break
Lost myself again and I feel unsafe

Be my friend, hold me
Wrap me up, unfold me
I am small and needy
Warm me up and breathe me

Be my friend, hold me
Wrap me up, unfold me
I am small and needy
Warm me up and breathe me

funny, i've never seen SFU and i have always loved this song.
i wish this was played more. i haven't heard it in a long, long time. my favorite of hers. so haunting. i adore this so much.
ditto the Six Feet Under final ep emotions of many years ago = the finest, saddest moments on tv
The first time I heard this after the SFU finale, it was in the background someplace. Before recognizing it, I had this overwhelming reflexive and emotional gasp.

It took me a while to relate the music to the show.
Thought it was Tori Amos

Different strokes for different folks, I guess, but to me there is a world of difference between a distinctive voice (e.g. Gabriel) and affected trademarks that can become self parody (Michael Jackson's squeak/gasp, Dolores O'Riordan's uplift) and become grating. Jagger's assumed accent and this 'vocal fry' I agree pall swiftly.

I remember the final scene of 6 Feet Under, the time traveling scenes of each character with this song playing....it was so emotional.  I teared up pretty hard.  The scene and this song were so perfect.

This is a great example of an effortless song...not forced, not gimmicky. It drills straight into your brain and won't let go. Love Sia!
In terms of quirkiness Sia is an Aussie Björk.  Two daughters from the same father perhaps?  🤣

But I've always liked this tune....

a trace of Chrissy Hynde Here?
I've never ever seen "6 ft Under". But Sia was a guest star in the latest episode of the animated series "Scooby-Doo & Guess Who?" for Warner Bros Animation, and that's even cooler.

Today this song was followed by "I Grieve" by Peter Gabriel. I doubt that's a coincidence.
Brilliant segue from Peter Gabriel "Grieve".  Wasn't in the mood to ponder the darkness but points for the stellar mix.

To me this is an all-time classic.  Everything about it.  I'd bet it will be remembered on song lists in 2100.

It's a style. Vocal fry. Quite unpleasant in my box when used so liberally.
In my mind forever associated with the Six Feet Under finale. I doubt it would stir up the same feelings if it weren't for that placement.
My arm is numb. Numb arm. Narm. NARM!
Those breaks in her voice are sooooo overdone. Sorry, but I just find it annoying. Can't listen to it.{#Frustrated}
i had no idea she was with zero 7. i get it now.
This song is amazing in the final episode in 6 feet under.  One of the best series final shows I have ever seen.
You should definitely finish Dexter.  Loved the show so much, we named our dog Dexter.  Another great series!

There is no inclinometer for the percentage of which sex likes a particular song, but I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of responders are female. In this case, that's a very good thing.
Why? dunno, just is.
Thx a lot Bill and Rebecca. 2 times I hear this so fabulous song on your radio in a week and everytime so much emotion. Six feet under forever...

It's surprising to me how poor her voice (otherwise really outstanding) sounds in this tune.

Love this song, love Sia, love this production.

Very talented singer/song writer who's finally getting alot of recognition for her latest album.  Aside from Chandelier I have to say, I'm not crazy about the record. It seems really commercial unlike her previous albums.

Not a bad song, though it was clearly aided by the exposure of being the main tune on the final episode of the TV show 6 Feet Under....a good selection for that final episode,, as tunes go..

Nor do I, but I like her work with Zero 7.
So long, Sia later (sometimes I just can't help myself).

I was introduced to her music through her singing with Zero 7. I like her music in general, but sometimes it gets a bit over-wrought.

And I disagree that her style is really considered "vocal fry", though she can head in that direction occasionally.

Ending finale of Breaking Bad was excellent...Six Feet Under ending episode...STELLAR!
So very good.

Not all the artists can be like Bob Dylan. Without a bit of voice but brilliant. Some  just don't have the voice...

8 years?! Damn. And probably still the best ending to a TV show. Maybe Breaking Bad will eclipse it.
It would be interesting to know how many of the 7 or more ratings come from people who first heard the song watching that finale, myself included.

Just plain bad

Great song.
NOPE!
Thank you for adding the PSD button!  This wonderful song has not been played since May 2011, but I am now listening to it as a result of clicking PSD from another song I did not like — and LOVE this one so much better!  Refreshing switch.

Seventhed. Or so. I get all sloppy at the silliest crap but this, whooboy. I hadn't even been watching the show for that previoius season, I kinda wandered off, but I caught the finale and I was practically on the floor bawling. I still wake up in the middle of the night sometimes thinking about that ending. ::shakes fist:: Bastards.  =   )

It worked for me as well.
Sia's awesome!   I love her cover of the Church's "Under the Milky Way."   The stuff she did with Zero 7 was also very, very cool.
I first heard this on one of my Pandora stations and loved it. Then, my twisted friend Mick sent me the MP3 of it, and it's still on a thumb-drive somewhere. I remember it, though... And while it's not great for every occasion, sometimes it just works for certain situations.

I love it.  Conversely, should I ever decide to open a vein, this would be the song I'd want playing as I bled out.

Conversely again, should I ever decide to hang-glide, this would be the song I'd want playing as I jumped off the cliff like Icarus with man-made wings and a lot of hope.  I bet I could fly to this song.  Or die to it.

Come to think of it, those are pretty impressive kudos for a song. {#Mrgreen}

One Tori is enough.

Unfortunately, this great tune will be followed by the insipid Cloud Cult, which pretty much ruins hearing it here.

What a wonderful song!!  the way it sort of fades out, rests, then comes back strong and forceful, and then the amazing crescendo and climax...it takes my breath away.  kudos to Sia and the outstanding mixing crew on this one.  and, no, she is not a copy of Tori Amos, or Kate Bush, two great artists in their own right.  Sia is a clear voice in this music world of sameness and yawn inspiring banality.  the listener is urged to explore all her music to capture the richness of her talent.

I'm not sure this is a great song, but I LOVE the mix on it.

The treatment of the vocal track speaks to the subject matter, and draws my ear in.

Then, later, the mix thickens up nicely, and draws my ears again.

That's not to say that all the talent is in the control room, its just that I like it when the mix serves the song, instead of the other way around.

A good song but not one of her best. Her album 'Some people have real problems' is a real gem! It would be good if RP could play more than just Academia from that album.
