i love this one, contrary to popular opinion.
and this is my fav album of wilco next to yankee hotel foxtrot, and may surpass that for me.

Jeff Tweedy came off as a huge cack on the documentary I'm Trying to Break Your Heart. I'm not sure if that's truly representative of his personality, but that's how it seemed.

It took me a long time to get into this song, and album too. But I really dig it now. There's a lot of songs I now consider 'timeless' that I wasn't really into the first few times I heard them. Funny how that works. c.

yeah, there's something beautifully reminiscent about the piano in this song. 70ish, maybe 60ish. Queen's Killer Queen and other theatrical sounding numbers?

I do love these guys and lo and behold, RP didn't turn me on to these guys initially. It was Austin City Limits! But Bill has furnished far more of them to me over many months (and many more to come). Son Volt and Uncle Tupelo are also so good as precursors to Wilco and the wagon that went down the other road. Gettin to really dig this alt country thing.

Glad to see someone else feels the same way I do. I have listened to YHF many times, but this album only gets listened to when a song comes up on my ipod.

I've tried several times to get into this CD, but so far no... this song is good, but as a whole, I'm just not feeling the CD yet. On the other hand, "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" just worked for me right from the start, I didn't even have to try. Wilco has a problem, and that problem is they've already created their master work... nice problem to have, though!

I'm a Pepper, he's a Pepper, she's a Pepper, we're a Pepper, Wouldn't you like to be a Wilco fan too? Nice homage to "Honey Pie" there near the end as well. Yet another from Tweedy and co. that I enjoy. This band hardly ever misses.

The more I listen to this album and this incredible song, the more I think that Wilco has to be one of the top talents out there.....Not simply a critics darling, they are the real thing.....

Wilco has completely reinvented their sound on this album while still retaining their roots. The addition of Nels Cline on guitar has tweaked out their sound in a good way. This song is definitely more old style wilco and reminds me of their mermaid avenue work.
