Watch an eyeball
Take a free fall
At the mention of a name
In its socket
And like a rocket
Rises just the same

Could my eyelids
(could my eye)
Cover what I did
The shuttin of the door
And could these ceilings
Contain my feelings
Me down on the floor

Jerked my fountain
Ice cream mountains
I suppose I'm just too late
Form a line here
Think I'll die here
These people nauseate me

But if my patience
Were a spaceship
High up in orbit
I would rise here
Hypnotized here
Risen from where I sit

A solid angle
My legs do dangle
Off the counter's edge
Soft words spoken
Promises broken
I Close my eyes instead

But could my eyelids
Cover what I did
The shuttin' of the door
Could these ceilings
Contain my feelings
Me down on the floor
Me down on the floor
Me down on the floor
Me down on the floor

Donna the Buffalo. Grant Lee Buffalo. Buffalo Tom. All and only on RP, at least for me. Is there a theme to this?

Time to go out and graze the prairie.

As I sit looking out over Boston Harbor on a Friday,,,, listening to my hometown Boys on a lazy Friday...........great song heading into a weekend. ...
plenty good music from Buffalo Tom. 👍

Back in College, Boston 1992.  Hanging in Alston on Mass Ave.  Good times, awesome music.

I loved this the first time I heard it in 1993 -- the happiest period in my life.  Then, it all went to hell.

Absolute rubbish.

Nice!
Wow! I forgot how much I love this song and this album!  I haven't listened to it in ten years and it was in HEAVY rotation when new.  when this came out two weeks didn't pass without a great new album coming out.  Today?  not so much.

This comment is great...  Almost makes all the grey in my goatee worth it.  Good thing I started shaving my head before I could see my hair getting thin.

These guys still play the Paradise in Boston a couple times a year.  I go and see the same crowd from twenty years ago singing along to this one.  Getting old sucks, but the sound track is ok.

I think I saw you there,
Ok , so now you are bringing me back to a concert years ago and another great summer.
So much fun......
One of my favorite groups from the 90's, great to hear them on RP! Please play some tracks from Let Me Come Over.

In an alternate, i.e. better, universe, this song would have been a #1 hit. Great power pop.

In alll the many years I've been listening to music, I could never figure out why I liked the songs that I did.
I recently figured it out... They're all Power Pop!  {#Jump}
Just had a show with these guys at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston last Friday.  Great band.  Great guys.  Always a good time when they play out.
I've never heard this before, nor have I heard Hüsker-Du (although I've heard of them.)  I really like this song!  The solid beat reminds me a little of a slowed down "I Need to Know" by Tom Petty and the Homewreckers. And, how funny that it's being followed by a Tom Petty song... {#Dancingbanana_2}

I like this song a lot but I'd have to knock it down a few pegs if I have to put Hüsker Dü on the 1–10 scale.

You beat me to it - it's a kinder, gentler Husker Du!

Good old days...
Hahahahaha My So Called Life Soundtrack!
like it was said in one film, "with the emphasis on 'jerk'" ;-))
diggin it...
Reminds me (and obviously others) of some great bands!   I hear a little Bodeans in there too.
Harmonies and jangly guitar right out of early R.E.M. Most Excellent.
Wow, this really sounds like 1993.
qSounds a little Joe Jackson-ish.
Soooooooooooooooooooooooo...many good memories!  Including My So-Called Life!
Yay!  It's been a while since I heard this one.
good to hear the very underrated BT on RP. A hard workig, solid band with a good catalog
Reminds me somewhat of the English band XTC (Making plans for Nigel, Senses working overtime etc). Not half bad.
Holy college drunkeness!!
EDIT: I guess I was out of college by the time this came out—but I still acted like I was in college for quite a while after.

THANK YOU!!!

Kids.
Great album, great memories!
RP should add 'Rachael' by Buffalo Tom to the playlist! First time I ever saw these guys MORPHINE with Mark Sandman was the opening band.
High school song....been a while :)
Wicked pissah album as we say back East. Not the best song on the record, but I'll take it. Great band that was never going to be loved by the mainstream music buying public. I guess that's why RP will always have a home for them.
I know this track from the My So Called Life soundtrack CD, which is quite good.
Haven't heard this one in years. Good song.

Now THAT's more like it! Buffalo Tom--underrated, underplayed, but muy talented. Love 'em. Let's hear "Birdbrain"...

Nah, it doesn't do it for me. I just seems to be grating on my eardrums...
excellent song from a chronically underrated band. 9. couple more buffalo tom songs could stand to be uploaded (taillightsfade, staples, velvetroof, porchlight...from letmecomeover--some examples)

My fave Buffalo Tom album and tune
Thanks RP. I needed that.
Makes me want to snoopy dance!!! :)
Hearing this again really reveals how influential it was (is).
Wasn't Buffalo Tom on Sealab 2021? Oh, no, wait - that was Chopper Dave. Nevermind. Nice tune tho.

I've never heard this before! I like it, though - it has the kind of beat that makes me tap my foot and turn up the volume... Yet another CD I'll have to invest in, when I have money. Thanks, RP!
hadn't heard this one in quite a while ... made me happy to hear it again.
A great song from a great band that I saw many times in college. I need to dig up this CD. Are these guys still around?
Solid, solid album. Desert Island pick.
