I don't need an education,
I learned all I need from you.
They've got me on some medication,
My point of balance was askew.
It keeps my temperature from rising,
My blood is pumping through my veins.

Somebody get me out of here,
I'm tearing at myself.
Nobody gives a damn about me or anybody else.

I wear myself out in the morning,
You're asleep when I get home.
Please don't call me self defending,
You know it cuts me to the bone.
And it's really not surprising,
I hold a force I can't contain.

Somebody get me out of here,
I'm tearing at myself.
Nobody gives a damn about me or anybody else.

And still you call me co-dependent,
Somehow you lay the blame on me.
And still you call me co-dependent,
Somehow you lay the blame on me.

Somebody get me out of here,
I'm tearing at myself.
I've got to make a point these days,
To extricate myself.
Somebody get me out of here,
I'm tearing at myself.
Nobody gives a damn about me or anybody else.

And still you call me co-dependent,
Somehow you lay the blame on me.
And still you call me co-dependent,
Somehow you lay the blame on me.
Somehow you lay the blame on me......

Nice!! Well recorded! Better than a lot of their tunes with unbearable distortion,  recorded by Butch Vig! I have no idea who recorded this tune.
Grateful for the Skip button.
The process took years, but Radio Paradise has finally broken through and shown me how good this band is/was.

Yeah but it's not garbage...

But "Stupid Girl" was an all-time great single! Tony Jory. London, England
Say what you will they had based a very unique sound to alt-rock of late nineties

GARBAGE IS CERTAINLY (!) on medication!

In powderform, I assume!
Brown color!
Mmmm. Time again to listen to the album, I think.
I have to turn RP off for a bit this morning. Vibe just not assisting me working on a spreadsheet. Still luv RP
Some vocal similarity to Liz Phair, I think.

I agree - more Garbage.....or how about Massive Attacks' real nice take on Milk?

Well, I am relieved to know its not their best work.
Edit: I posted this song's excellent lyrics, before I scrolled down and realized that someone had beaten me to it. So I'm going to edit my post and leave in only the lines of the song that made me literally gasp outloud when I heard them, for the first time, today:
And still you call me co-dependent
Somehow you lay the blame on me
And still you call me co-dependent
Somehow you lay the blame on me

Somebody get me out of here
I'm tearing at myself
I've got to make a point these days
To extricate myself

There's never enough Garbage on RP! {#Lol}

Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles.

But have I mentioned I think this should be near the top of any 'best albums of the 90's' list?

Wow. First time I've heard this on RP - one of my favourite Garbage tunes.
I hope we're entering a period of increased Garbage on the playlist... keeps me from having to remember where I stashed the CDs :D

always a pleasure to hear the sweet tunage of garbage... nice choice, ya'll. play this more, eh?
Love my Garbage rations! thanx RP!

Wouldn't have been my first choice either, but haven't heard it in a while and it sounds good at the moment. I actually have this on cassette, believe it or not. Probably has the distinction of being the last cassette I ever bought. Might be time to head on down to Cheapo and see if I can pick up a used copy of the CD for a few bucks ... it's worth having.

Now you got me curious: who is that to whom you refer?
Garbage is a truly talented band. I went to a Halloween concert, and it was by far the best one I've ever been to...highly entertaining. Every song on this CD is awesome. Out of my vast collection, I only have 3 CDs where I like every single song: Garbage, Version 2.0 Pink Floyd, Dark Side Of The Moon Radiohead, OK Computer They really should have won the Grammy for this album that year, instead of that untalented, forgettable racist who did.
Shirley sings about gruesome realities in such a pretty fashion.
Twin Peaks fans have to hear the similarities... "Don't let yourself get hurt this time..."

It's quite funny, all the negative references to high quality songs seem to come from people who live in the lowest quality places, like Harrisburg, PA, or New Hampshire!
What's the matter, too afraid to put YOUR location under you name? They have a word around here, something to do with the buttocks and a garmet worn on the head. But as much as I hate to admit it, I DO agree that this is a good song. Musically not my favorite track, but they lyrics are very good.
Only the band name is Garbage. this song (and many others) are fine. I like her voice!

Well, Cup of Coffee is a great track.

My thoughts exactly!

Saw Garbage in concert. 45 minutes of non-stop GREAT performance. Seriously talented band IMO.
I do not know why this song keeps getting played, it is taking the place of a song that could actually be worth listening to!

I somewhat agree. There are much better Garbage songs on this and other Garbage album that are in-line with my RP expectations. The imaginative guitar-scape and minimal use of keyboards are notewothy.
A generally good album, but a poor song choice from it.
I think your medication's gone bad!
Some of worst garbage I have ever heard
Lame.
This didn't cut it for me - whiney voice accompanied by whiney music.
go to https://www.bartcop.com scroll to the very bottom of the page there you will find an almost daily-updated cool pic of shirley manson. you'll like bartcop, too, if you like gun owners. he's otherwise hopelessly liberal, tho. just like us! some of us, anyway... :propeller.gif: :umbrella.gif:
