I like that line: "Encyclopedias of alibis." I don't know, it just hit me. It's cool:)
does this grow on you if you listen to it more than once?
A true self-proclaimed troubadour. Happy now!
Baby we were born to rip...
This was my wake-up call this morning! Sometimes the other side of the planet has its perks.
heh! so weird. reading the comments. I can't seem to get a bruce springsteen song out of my head.
Ah yes, this gets me going! Thanks for the call. He's influenced by the best (just like for instance Elvis Costello is ) and uses it very well in his own way.
I've been trying to figure out who he is writing about...i was thinking at first maybe rumsfeld, but the talk about the spider hole threw me off...any ideas?

Have liked his stuff since the early 80s. Have yet to see him live, although he plays here about once a year or so. Will have to check him out next time around.
See him live! You must! Besides a great songwriter, he tells the BEST stories! He's a riot and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Good guy - have seen him 3 times. Laurie

Nice jangly sound to this. And Peter Case's turn of phrase is always welcome
Buncha new ones! This is fun!
