Candles in the window
Flashin' through the night
In a room upstairs is a woman
In my mind all dressed in white

Words wrapped up in losin'
Hammered to a wall
In a dirty city searchin'
In my mind all dressed in white

Dressed in white forever
Callin' for the best
The best her father offered
In my mind all dressed in white

Paul was a single man
Great as many been told
People come and go and why
In my mind all dressed in white

Dressed in white forever
Callin' for the best
The best her father offered
In my mind all dressed in white

Candles in the window
Flashin' through the night
In a room upstairs is a woman
In my mind all dressed in white

Dressed in white forever
Callin' for the best
The best her father offered
In my mind all dressed in white

Dressed in white forever
Callin' for the best
The best her father offered
In my mind all dressed in white

GREAT.FUNNY. I'M LAUGHING OUT LOUD.
Awesome, awesome, awesome - I'm glad someone finally uploaded some Malcolm! I saw him earlier this year at Eddie's Attic in Decatur , Georgia... what a character!!!! he definitely has his own world in which he lives it.
This guys name reminds of some people I've met through the years with name that makes you think..What the hell where the parents thinking? Like Johnny Johnson, Alan Allen, Robert Roberts..This is a true post...I have met these people...Alan is the brother of best man at my wedding and his name is Tim Allen (The Tool Guy)Oh yea by the way,I do like the tune....!
nice
That was lovely. I've never heard of this guy. I'll check out his music.

I remember buying Malcolm several beers and a couple of sandwiches on several ocassions after had just independently released his first CD back in the mid 90s, selling it at his local gigs here in Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. He used to sleep in his car, was dirtier than dirt poor. The guy's talented and, at least in those days, tortured. I'm glad he's still alive, and glad he's still making music.
That's when I met him too. I think we all loved him a lot. The last times I've seen him he's seemed to have turned at least a little of that torture into some wisdom. Bless him.

His voice sounds a tad bit like Larry Keel....But the picking isn't nearly as fun to listen to...
John Hiatt? John Prine? I hear Guy Clark. Who is Malcom Holcombe? Bears further study.....

Malcolm is one of the musical songwriting geniuses of our time. Read the reviews from Rolling Stone to LA Weekly to all the local rags. A Malcolm live show is a gift. And if you've seen him you know. (click here) Laurie
Big fan of Malcolm. Saw him open for Wilco a few years back...had never heard of him, bought his CD a couple days later.
