Did I drive you away?
I know what you'll say
You'll say, "Oh, sing one you know"
But I promise you this
I'll always look out for you
Yeah that's what I'll do

I say, "Oh"
I say, "Oh"

My heart is yours
It's you that I hold onto
That's what I'll do
And I know I was wrong
But I won't let you down
Oh, yeah I will, yeah I will
Yes I will

I said, "Oh"
I cry, "Oh"

Yeah, I saw sparks
Yeah, I saw sparks
And I saw sparks
Yeah, I saw sparks

Sing it out
La-la-la-la, oh-oh
La-la-la-la, oh-oh
La-la-la-la, oh-oh
La-la-la-la, oh-oh

Hilarious to read all the wanky comments every time a Coldplay song comes on. Hopefully my 9 counteracts a couple 2’s and 3’s!
Please, somebody, stuff a sock in this man's mouth.
Sounds like a tacit request for therapy.

Great album.  Not the best track from it though.  Glad you got past all the bs about Coldplay.  Seems like peeople think it’s cool or they’re cool if they diss Coldplay.

Strange.. i'm a 50 yr old Zappa, Genesis, Rush, Sabbath, Who etc fan and everything I read in forums like this one tells me I shouldn't like Coldplay.    But I do!    Especially this song.

Even my love of their arch-enemy Satriani hasn't kept them off my playlist {#Eyes}.  I think it's because I lived under a stone for most of the 90s and 00s: no exposure to the popular press.

There are so much better tracks on this CD. This is quite painful.

"Serious rotation"?

'Unserious' might have been a better choice for something that should be played once per epoch.

"Serious rotation"?

Goddawful vocals.  PSD for me.

Amazing how old this album is...turn of the century—er millenium, innit?  Did they know then how big they would become?

probably the only Coldplay album I really like.
This is going on my mix tape (CD actually) for my Sweetpea. {#Hearteyes}
Chris can't sing!
The only Coldplay album I could appreciate

It just got played, AND NOT ONE SINGLE COLDPLAY HATER CAME OUT OF THE WOODWORK!

Aural Mogadon, like much of Coldplay's stuff - in one ear and out the other, leaving a vague feeling of sedation...
Typically Coldplay, half-singing with drivelly lyrics
I agree that this is not the strongest song on the album for sure. I don't dislike it. It is a fine song, but not a standout for me yet. As for his voice I love it.
Not the best song in the album, 6.8 for this...

Damn, RP playing Coldplay really brings out the haters, huh?
Not surprising, is it? The title of this lame song, for example..."Sparks?" What a joke. This guy's singing, if you can call it that, could use a few sparks. For me, most of their music has a similar, emotionless quality.
Damn, RP playing Coldplay really brings out the haters, huh?
As usual, I like the instrumental performance, but the lame crooning makes me want to destroy something.
From Newsweek "Perspective", dated February 27, 2006 : "People are fed up with us-and so are we. We won't see you for a long time. I mean it." Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, on the band's decision to "go into hiding" and quit the music scene for up to two years Creed had the same attitude a few years back and you know what happened to them. Poof! I like some of Coldplay's music but they seem like a watered down Radiohead that was formed by the bobblehead media drones. But then again, Bill here will make sure we don't forget them in the next two years, and given the variety and "differing" perspectives that this station puts forth, is that a bad thing?
This would be a great late night track. but its two in the afternoon! < In australia, where I am! > I have yet to discover what is the excitement about Coldplay, and this track is designed to be soporific, and it had exactly that effect on me
Well below RP standards!
Please play something that's a little more lively for those of us studying accounting in the middle of the night! Please !
Hmmm, back when Coldplay actually made good music.
HALF SS
please stop it!!!!!!!!

Quite agree. Im a big coldplay fan, and hearing this was totally unexpected with the course of the movie to that point.

I can't think of one I've ever heard before. Now that I have, I can't think of one I like.

Coldplay has some nice stuff but also a lot of boring stuff IMO.

Ditto. Coldplay brings something simple but unique to the musical world. Pleasant. Energetic. This album was one of the rare ones I instantly liked the whole way through.
I like coldplay and all... but... <-(
he is cute, though

you are not! They are as bland as bland can be, and Chris Martin sounds like a weak(er) Dave Matthews.
They have some good materials, but most of it does get rote over time........

Love the vocals. The slow tempo and subdued delivery are very appropriate for the song. He sounds like he just finished a marathon love-making session. :goodvibes.gif:

So glad to be hearing this song on RP.
