nope.  she's an amazing songwriter who captured the essence of Northern California.  we will always love her here, and I'm glad
RP played at least two of her songs.
A clear personal sound, without the over laying of artifical arrangements or studio technique. I'm sure it must sound odd, but here is the sort of voice from which all others derive sustenance. I love good electronica, but music started with human voices and human hands.

I've never even heard of Kate Wolf until just now (and having grown up in the Bay Area at that!). This is beautiful! Where have I been all my life?
There's music in the waters flowing by... Beautiful...
I have this on my Ipod Love to hear it as I bike up Mt. Diablo

A true pleasure to watch here in northern California. That alone makes this song lovely for me...that I like it musically as well is just icing on the cake.
Yes, it always great to hear Kate ... My favorite rendition of this tune (with Pacheco) is the live recording from "An Evening in Austin" ... It "rocks". I must admit to having every single recording of hers available. She has traveled with me all over the world.
hmmm...kind of interesting...irish ballad/spaghetti western fusion? vocals making me sleepy.....
No way! Kate Wolf on RP...how cool is that! Thanks R&B! I Love Kate's music...have an old practice session recorded in a barn. This is one of my favorites from her song book. She had the best smile.
Now here is a voice I could stand to hear more of. It was a shame that she died early in life......and these days 45 is early. She steadily grew as a songwriter and performer over time, so it would have been lovely to see what she would have done by this point.
Kate Wolf! Great addition to the playlist. Haven't listened to her in a while, but I sure loved her in the early - mid 80s. Sad passing too early.
