Up above you darling (past the line, between the land), I'll call you from Vancouver
just looking @ your picture till it's all that I can stand. This dream's a lil narrow, so
I'm sticking to my guns while the wake-up calls keep coming (though sometimes, dearie,
lord the thought of another one).

Are you shaking? Are you sleeping? Another weepy lil rager drowned down to the ring.
It's hard a moon to swallow. You're drunk or you're dead under this swollen,
swampy sky; when the thought of one more broken night is more than some'll ever shed.

Very sweet, who the hell is Richard Buckner? ...got a nice Wilco vibe to it, wouldn't ya say?

Nice to hear this again. Thanks Bill

Love the voice...

"I'll call you from Vancouver... ... under this swollen, swampy sky..." Man that describes the sky in Vancouver way too often.
Nice!
I have never heard this before... diggin it. Thanks RP!
...so nice to hear richard buckner - i'd wondered if he wasn't broadcast-friendly enough for RP airtime... ^_^
I can respect the opinions of those who dislike Buckner's voice, but to me, I could listen to him sing anything (a lot like Iron & Wine). First heard him on WDET in Detroit. For those of you who like this, check out 'Charmers' and 'Her' from his 2004 'Dents and Shells'.
I went on and on about this guy and appy didn't much care for him until we went to see him. You gotta see him. Glad this finally got played!
Wow! I liked it. Play it again Bill!

Not sure how to feel about this... his singing has a certain weakness to it, and the vocals are too much in the foreground. The slight warble he puts into it sounds forced and a little fake. Sometimes he's just whispering. I like it better when he just sings. Guitar sounds good, clean, crisp.
I get very annoyed when "artists" don't care enough about the lyrics they wrote to enunciate them clearly. He pronunciation is very sloppy -- but not as bad as some artists.
Oooooo....haven't heard Richard Buckner for a long time.

I'm in the WAY minority here, but his voice is horrible! Ack! A Sucko-Barfo 1 for me.
Another awesome song he does is "Rainsquall" - anyone have a 192k rip of it?
Absolutely.
Ohhh this is wicked good. Glad to hear this new artist.
This album cover nicely conveys most of my meetings here at work.
His new album, Meadow, is amazing. I'll try to put it on the LRC channel when I get a chance

Who is this guy? I thought it was Steve Earle for a second ... I love this stuff
hard to find lyrics for that one
*sigh* Another great song wasting away in the depths of the RP vault.
