This may not last until tomorrow
So look at all the love you borrow
And time will tell us all
We could be laughing
We could be married
Tomorrow morning

And love alone won't be your saviour
And pretty soon you'll find it's over
And time has left you there
We could be singing
Could be together
Tomorrow morning

Show me only sunrise
Say you'll love me and then
Say you'll love me, oooh
Sugar rain
Tomorrow morning

And love alone won't be your saviour
And pretty soon you'll find it's over
And time has left you there
If it's not easy
It must be summer
If it's not love
Then I don't know
Tomorrow morning

Come on, girl
Hey, hey
Blue skies, water, desert, yeah
Ooh, tomorrow morning

ok, but I was expecting more from this group?

IS this the best they can do?

It really is a pity that none of the other instant classics is played here. Peace at last, Tomorrow morning. Man this is awesome,
All I can say is I hope you have a lifejacket!

The Blue Nile are not best played as single tracks until you know the style.   Me, I'd go for some plays of "Happiness".   That'd show everyone, Bill.    :-)
I think I'd jump into the Blue (shurely 'muddy brown'? Ed) Nile to escape this guy's voice, which to these ears is both tedious and grating. That would be peace at last. A shame, as I'm usually a big fan of Scottish artistes (with the exception of Rod Stewart). 2 from the Nottingham jury.

BOOOOOO-RING

Yes please, more Blue Nile!

I've loved the Blue Nile ever since I discovered them when I was working in Edinburgh.
These are two of their best songs:
Tinseltown in the Rain, from their first CD: A Walk Across the Rooftops
The Downtown Lights,
from their second CD: Hats

Superb! More Blue Nile please.
Check out "A Walk Across the Rooftops" Best Blue Nile ever
Love the voice. I think I've got a record from this group way back in my old LP collection.
Still one of the most interesting voices of the last 15 years
Boy, that's nice.
Excellent, Bill!  More please!  These guys deserve to be much better known worldwide.
Reminds me of the Tragically Hip..  Quite Enjoyable.
Saw them some moons ago 'open' the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Felt a bit weird sitting at a gig, but, was a real 'hi-fi' performance. These guys compliment the quality and range we get on this here station {#Clap}
This is really lovely music.

I'm ashamed to say that although they come from around twenty miles away, I've heard very little of their stuff{#Redface}

Me three, play more of these guys Bill.

The singer has one of the most heart-felt voices. Touching.

Me too!!!!
The Blue Nile is one of my favorites, a friend introduced me to them about 5 years ago. I recognized the singer immediately. Thanks Bill, for playing obscure (in the U.S.) music.

Upload something from Hats please! I love Headlights on the Parade (name?) and Saturday Night...
Coincidentally, I just finished listening to Hats. I too will cast my vote for more The Blue Nile on RP.

Me either, but hey, each to their own. I just uploaded Downtown Lights and Tinseltown, hopefully they will meet with better luck :)
I can't believe RP doesn't play "downtown lights"... damn that is just WRONG, that is a excellent song.

Now up to two BN songs on RP. The struggle continues.
Never been a major Blue Nile fan, but I like them and am really surprised that Bill doesn't include more from these guys - seems like they are a perfect fit!

I couldn't agree more. This song is okay but these and a few others are much better. Can't figure why these were turned down.

He sounds like a cross between Jeff Buckley and Nick Drake. A very nice mix.

Sadly, still the only Blue Nile song on RP. New disc lovely but all songs are fairly stripped and slow. Will try some more uploads for them after I lick my wounds.

Ok, one of us is right and the other wrong: either they sound like Neil Young or XTC, but certainly not both! :-)

Sounds like an acoustic session with XTC. This is a good thing. Nice tune.
Don't think I've heard these guys since the college radio days of the early 90s. Good stuff.
Great song. These guys are very good. Their first two recordings are even better than this one. They are called "A walk across the rooftops" and "Hats".
This isn't the Blue Nile's best stuff (that would be pretty much anything from the album Hats), but this is a great little tune...
Most pleasing.
