It does sound like a piano, but with the hammers, it seems like he can really make what a clean piano key hit sounds like PLUS more styles of hits. This was a great song.

wow he's playing a hammer dulcimer? This takes what I have heard (of the instrument) to new and unexplored heights. This is great!

I've seen this guy jam with String Cheese Incident, Keller Williams, and (I think) Dr. Didg. Quite a player. He's playing a hammered dulcimer, which is an instrument that looks kinda like the inside of a grand piano. He sits at it and hammers all the strings with little mallets. Gorgeous sound, and Jamie just has amazing rhythm.
