We're here where the daylight begins
The fog on the streetlight slowly thins
Water on water's the way
The safety of shoreline fading away

Sail your sea
Meet your storm
All I want is to be your harbor
The light in me
Will guide you home
All I want is to be your harbor

Fear is the brightest of signs
The shape of the boundary you leave behind
So sing all your questions to sleep
The answers are out there in the drowning deep

Sail your sea
Meet your storm
All I want is to be your harbor
The light in me
Will guide you home
All I want is to be your harbor

You've got a journey to make
There's your horizon to chase
So go far beyond where we stand
No matter the distance, I'm holding your hand

Sail your sea
Meet your storm
All I want is to be your harbor
The light in me
Will guide you home
All I want is to be your harbor

Oops, I must have pressed the 'please play christian rock' button on my RP home page.

Huh? Not her best effort, but definitely not a Christian song.

I have always felt that Vienna was bordering on derivative (of Tori Amos, of course), but I do really enjoy many of her songs; including this one.  Quite enjoyable in fact.
All the guys down at the Salty Dog Bar and Cafe' love this song!

A little country be good for the soul,.  Call this alternative folk/jazz/country.......   Something for everyone.
having a bad day, man?
This whole record is very good. Her best IMO.
She is very talented and she has a lovely voice, but I don't like the song.
NO!
Heartfelt, tuneful, beautiful...
Can't see rating this any higher than a 5.
We just saw her in her new home town of Ann Arbor, MI.  She was incredible in concert, a great performer and great sense of humor!
Nice.  And that's about it.  A female Jackson Browne, i.e. bland.

Hope John Tesh's lawyers don't hear this . . .
not feeling it. . .
...i like vienna teng; this is decent...i particularly appreciate how she's grown musically since these early albums...
Ya just gotta love somebody who can knock out a pop song with verses in 5, a chorus in 6 AND 4, and a bridge/outro in 7, that still really hooks you! And you can dance to it! (Well, I haven't tried, but it SEEMS like you could...) Why doesn't the dang dancing smiley work?
If Bill ever plays this try and listen out for the time signature, there are at least 4.
