IMO Ry Cooder should be declared a "World Treasure."  Why?  Because, although one may like his playing yes or no, he does manage to pull off some amazing musical hookups that really bring obscure but top-flight musicians into the limelight.  This is a fabulous collaboration, as is "A Meeting By the River (thx RP)" with Vishwan Bhatt, and the exemplary "Buena Vista Social Club.  Personally, I dig Ry's playing, and he hangs out with some awesome other muscians!

That is very informative.  I'm a huge public radio listener and I often wondered about the differences.  Thanks for the info!

  More truth than fiction, you're getting close...

Drive through daiquiri joints place a piece of transparent tape over the X shaped hole in the lid of a styrofoam cup, so it's not (technically) an open container. Well behaved consumption on this stretch of brackish water is not enforced, but 6mph over the speed limit will likely result in an overly dramatic takedown by a special force in vehicles dedicated to patrolling this bridge.
