Although I have greatly appreciated the musical stylings of both of these artists, I have to say this would be the last song I would request to be played by either of them. Sorry man :(
I am shocked by the hatin' on Outkast. So they borrow sounds from other peeps and mix em together with fancy technology... at least they have fun with it! In a related note, in response to the complaining about the Grammy performances... Prince was not slummin with Beyonce. The man is a genius, but he is a genius of pop. It is only fitting that he should kick it with a contemporary pop artist. And let's face it, as it stands there are lots of alternatives to Beyonce that could have been FAR worse. I thought they went well together, except there was no need to include part of B's song in there. She should have just remained a backup to Prince. As should anyone who ever performs with him...
This song is lame, lame, lame. I blame Norah Jones. OutKast is an awesome group, but stop playing this nod to easy-listenin' and put on some of their funky tracks. Please!

I must point out that, regardless of the individual talents of these musicians, this song was bad enough for me to come here and tell you all that it was bad enough to tell you about it and that means its pretty bad.
can I rate this comment instead of rating the song? thanks for making me laugh!
pasturized processed music Product.

Did you catch the Outkast performance on the Grammy's....with GEORGE CLINTON?
nope. i dont watch that garbage. but i did hear about it later. what a disgrace. just as bad as Prince stooping to perform with beyonce. and did i mention... bahhhh humbug <-(
I'm so happy to see so many open minded people here I especially like the comment on how easy it is to get pro tools and make an album like Speakerboxx and The Love Below. I guess you will also need to go ahead and get the long list of top flite jazz musicians to come and play in your basement. Sounds good. I'll get right on that and let you all know when I'm rich and famous 8)

nope, but being soulless garbage probably didnt hurt its chances of getting play on corporate radio in the first place. as for these guys being "as complex as you can get" - c'mon, you can;t really believe that, can you? if you do, you must not have listened to much music in your lifetime. and while i really doubt that JB is on the look out for any compettion from these clowns, i'm sure George Clinton gets a good laugh every time he hears their weak ripoff of the Parliament sound.

what the hell does that have to do with anything? any chump with pro-tools and some extra time on their hands can make a track resemble Outcast's (or any of a quarter million other rap, rap-rock, and striaght-up pop acts) sleek-sounding radio friendly pablum. Poof Daddy made a career out of it. and since you brought it up, i used to work as an audio engineer. sleek does not, by any means, equal "complex". enjoying their music because you think it's fun, or whatever, is one thing - claiming that it is somehow "complex" is just plain silly. try some jazz, classical, prog-rock, electronica, cliq-hop, etc with even a few interesting time- and key-changes on for size., just for starters. (but, as i said before, this particular track is a lot bettter than most of their flash-in-the-pan bunk)
you just don't get it...

Just because it's on corporate radio it's souless garbage? Try again. Outkast is totally funky and their comppositions are about as complex as you can get. James Brown look out. This track is cool but the guitar player does go out for a note and I wonder why that wasn't fixed...

Hip Hop :?: nothing in this song sounded like hip hop to me. With that said, I enjoyed this tune. There is probably some worthwhile music in every musical genre. But most people won't listen long enough to find something.

hmmm... most of the Outkast (love the spelling, guys - very original ) songs that i have randomly heard on big corporate radio is absolutely terrible soulless garbage imho --- that being said, this track ain't half bad.

See? Hip hop is nothing to be afraid of! There's a ton of great stuff out there that you won't hear on any "big corporate radio" station. I know there's stuff from Blackalicious, Madlib or the Roots that would be mellow enough for RP...
Nice! Hey Ya?

Thanks for going out on a limb and playing Outkast. Another reason RP is the greatest!!!
Very cool! 8) Love both of these CD's. Highly recommend.
