Go!

It's one, two, three
Take my hand and come with me
Because you look so fine
That I really wanna make you mine

I say you look so fine
That I really wanna make you mine

Oh, four, five, six
C'mon and get your kicks
Now you don't need that money
When you look like that, do ya, honey?

Big black boots
Long brown hair
She's so sweet with her
Get-back stare

Well, I could see
You home with me
But you were with another man, yeah
I know we ain't got much to say
Before I let you get away, yeah
I said are you gonna be my girl?

Well, so one, two, three
Take my hand and come with me
Because you look so fine
That I really wanna make you mine

I say you look so fine
That I really wanna make you mine

Oh, four, five, six
C'mon and get your kicks
Now you don't need that money
With a face like that, do ya?

Big black boots
Long brown hair
She's so sweet with her
Get-back stare

Well, I could see
You home with me
But you were with another man, yeah
I know we ain't got much to say
Before I let you get away, yeah
I said, are you gonna be my girl?

Oh yeah
Oh yeah
C'mon!

I could see
You home with me
But you were with another man, yeah
I know we ain't got much to say
Before I let you get away, yeah
Be my girl
Be my girl
Are you gonna be my girl?
Yeah

Why do I keep seeing the video for "Been Caught Stealing" by Jane's Addiction?  Maybe it's the beat.  I just love the hell out of this song, and I don't care who they ripped off. It's my "do the damned housework!" music. And wow - followed by The Jam... I'm tired and done for the night, but if this beat keeps up, I'ma have to clean something, or scrub something, or mop something, or plant something....

STOP IT, RP! I gotta sleep! {#Roflol}
This definitely sounds better after not hearing it for awhile...
bill said earlier either you are in the mood for this stuff or your not.   i'm not at the moment.   geeez.  turn it down.  (sometimes I am though)
Hope everyone has their headphones on...!
This is a great song to "spin" to (stationary bike exercise class for those who haven't spun before). Excellent speed track.
Getting old with you, Bill. {#Wink} Yet it kept me moving anyway. {#Jump}
One of my favorites. :)

Funny, I went to look when the comments started. Had no idea this song was that old. It is a lot of fun. Disturbing fun, but still....
yup it steals - who f*cking cares!   It rocks and is fun.

Commercial or not, it's a hella fun debut cd! Too bad some of the other tracks didn't get airplay.
I keep hearing Lust for Life.

I don't know that I would consider these guys one-hit wonders, exactly. While this was their biggest song to date, "Cold Hard Bitch" and "Look What You've Done" (which surprises me that it isn't in RP's playlist...very Beatlesesque, if that's a word, and probably their best song) were both pretty successful.

Overall, I like these guys...I haven't heard a ton, but I like what I've heard...

(Going to check on Amazon, through RP's link, for CD...)

I've heard this 8 million times ... and I could listen to it for another 16 million times.  Dancin' in my office!

She's so sweet with that "Get Back!" stare ...

Yes, these guys took full commercial advantage of their "15 minutes", and this song may be derivative and all, but when I used to work in construction and/or house painting, it was a good diversion to crank this song when it came on the radio.  Oddly, outside of that dubious setting, I don't really care for it, but not enough to turn it off.  There's a lot of worse stuff.

Dedicated to anyone who has ever fallen in lust and had the nerve to act on it.

MadTV had a great skit where Lenny Kravitz is accused of ripping off Dr. Seuss

What the heck happened to this band (musically)?!! I had such hopes for them.
There was a time when I would have rated this much higher...

If there are any influences here, then it's the Beatles. That's what they are there for :meditate:

Yeah. And the Beatles shamelessly ripped off Beethoven 'cause they used a piano. Name 'most any song and you can find a predecessor with similarities...but don't label them "shameless" just because you don't like it.
Did you just say somebody ripped off Lenny Kravitz? Great comment!!! Thanks for making me laugh this morning.

:eh: Pretty broad statement there bud, did one of them steal your girlfriend or sumptin? Pretty harmless little rocker in my books.
My 8 year old son absolutely loves this song not sure what that says about it, but I enjoy Jet too, so maybe he just has good taste
Kicks ass. Nuf ced.
I like this song pretty well but it reminds me of that iPod commercial, and my iPod disgusts me. In my opinion, iTunes is the Devil's work.
This song hasn't been commented on in almost 3 years? I guess people are indifferent to it?

The influences are obvious but I still dig this song.

Agree - this song has a very low Macarena Factor. MF 1:1 = takes as long to get sick of a song as it did the Macarena. MF 2:1 = takes twice as long to get sick of a song as it did the Macarena and so on... I give this song an MF 4:1

This track here is quite good, but Kula Shaker's version of "Hush" is just excellent! You can get it on their "Best of"- Album called "Kollected" as well.

It's like they're trying hard to be "edgy." Forced, IMO.
I have been invaded by this song: it's played so often everywhere that it's stuck in my head and no matter where I go, if I start to hear this song, I break open into song even though I don't own a single copy of it or the album. Jet is evil. :(

Seriously. Somebody must be hard-up for contributions if this is the sort of mainstreamy cr_p RP's playing these days. Every time I hear this I want to go out and buy an iPod...
:puke:

The originality of Jet is that each song on this album rips off a different band instead of traditional rip-offs which tend to emulate just one influence.
