You're a rhyme without reason
And you know it so well
Well, who's the king of the season
Well, you never can tell
Though it's so plain to see

You think you like to be normal
You think you're in control
But the action you take
Only makes you small
Just like the way it should be

Surround, sister
Take care of me
Surround, sister
Take care of me

You're a book out of nowhere
Being read all the time
And the things that you give me
Only shows that you're blind

And when you know it's all over
And you're goin' insane
Oh, I'm just there to remind you
That I can't feel no pain
Why don't you let it be?

Surround, sister
Take care of me
Surround, sister
Take care of me
Surround, sister

'Cause I'm not afraid to fall
No, I'm not afraid to fall
I'm not afraid at all
Doo doo doo doo doo doo at all
Doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo, come on

Surround, sister
Take care of me
Surround, sister
Take care of me
Surround, sister
'Cause I'm not afraid to fall

I hear that too.   The guitarist practiced imitating Keef

Loved it back then, still love it now.

Awesome track
Wow, a band that sounds like the Stones, that I really like.
Pity about the vocals.
Definition of a hook.
You had me with the driving beat, jangly guitars, and vocal harmonies...
A pastiche of The Dandy Stones doing a pastiche of The Rolling Warhols?

Wait.. what?

The Dandys if they had the singer from The Ocean Blue...
I never realized that Hagrid was the lead singer for this band..... This is a most excellent song!!!

Translation (Google :):
"I always listen to this radio, unfortunately in Russia only through the Internet, thanks for being there"

"There is only the Internet presence: it is named with the word "radio" only because this is how good radio was once in the USA. Best wishes to you and I hope you and your family are safe. (hoping Google Translate will work for this!)"

Good enough!

У нас и интернет быстрый да дешёвый. Слушаю на смарте и на ПК.
I have to give this an 8, just because it got so much airplay during the time I listened to (and needed) RP the most. {#Cheers}
 love these guys
T.S.O.O.L., not to be mistaken for T.S.O.L. that much is sure.

Had the same feelings while working in Jeddah; Radio Paradise is great!

I was thinking the same....
It reminded me of another Swedish band. No wonder. Ebbot Lundberg, had previously played in the hard rock band Union Carbide Productions.
Bill, you are rockin my world this morning.

Wow, Bill, you seem to be able to find all these gems from my music collection that I thought nobody ever listened to but me. Soundtrack of my life, you bet.
I was really impressed by their concert at Austin City Limits 2004. Great to see them live.
The vocals are fine if not inspired, but a great rock song in the RS vein.
{#Bananapiano}A nice tune from my hometown!

I kinda like the song.  Not a ton of depth, but I'd end up slitting my wrists if everything was "Comfortably Numb" or something.

Album cover is a but creepy to me.  Never been a fan of the fake faces thing.  Reminds me of a reasonably successful local artist that makes stuff like that.  Never have them in my yard, but I suppose I can see the appeal.

Having just earned something like 39 million doing the latest Bond film, Daniel Craig also talked about slitting his wrists if he had to do another.
there's something plain wrong about that.
BTW, death masks have been used since the time of Tutankhamun.
Really good rocking stuff in this stretch! Rockin' it here on RP as the leaves, rain and temperature fall outside...

On first listen, this has kinda a 70s Rolling Stones rhythm, with a mix of The Strokes and the singer from the Ocean Blue. Quite fun. {#Bounce}
Yes, wanted to hear this again, so I checked the clip on youtube. 7.
Catchy and brilliant......underrated band!!  Entire album is delicious on the ears...!  {#Cheers}
way too many "doot doo doo doo doot dooos" for my taste- I didn't even hear the rest of the song...but it was my first listen.
Sometimes there is just nothing more welcome than a new (to me) basic rock and roll song.
{#Bananapiano}   oh ya...making the afternoon much better.
Awesome series of tunes!

RP seems to have refound it's groove and then more!

I was getting discouraged by the number of repeats of songs earlier this year but glad to see that things have changed, for the BETTER!
NICE segue way from that kick ass BMRC tune.  LOVE this track !!!  yoo-hoo !!
kicks me into the weekend! thanks!!

Honey, you are neither cheap nor vapid.  Slut?  Well, if you're a music-slut, then join the club. I love this song so much... And high-energy pop is always a good thing, unless one is studying to be a vampire.

Great song!{#Bananajam}

Lots of Music from Sweden this morning. Nice.

More rockin' Swedes. I'm impressed. It must be the long winter nights that lead to such creativity. This is a 'surround sound', right enough, a really big guitar sound. An immediate 8 from the Nottingham jury.

Are death masks spooky, or what?

I have this CD - a lot of really good songs on it!  I love this one in particular..  Thanks to whoever submitted it, and to Bill and Rebecca for playing it! {#Dancingbanana_2}
One of my favs from them.{#Guitarist}

These guys have made a ton of good music, and deserve a lot more attention than they get.
han solo in carbonite
Sinister CD cover - those look like death masks to me. Nice track, though - 7 from the (spooked) Nottingham jury.

I totally forgot about this song. I dig it,

This is glamrock?

I guess I like glamrock?  {#Drummer}.

You should listen to The Ark, also a Swedish band. They have pestered our radiowaves with completely unhinged over the top glamrock for years. (in a good way)
Soundtrack is OK - but the Ark is crap crap crap - like most everything on the Swedish airwaves, which is why RP is the only answer for "radio" in Sweden.

They released their fourth album in early 2005, which was a major letdown - very bland compared to the album from which this song is taken.

Just saw them live few days back. They rock!
This has a great riff!
Rock 'n' roll is one of the few pure joys in life. I pity those who allow life to crush the capacity to feel such joy out of them. They're the walking dead.

Could do with less songwriter stuff
I disagree here. Yes, I like the tune a lot, but the "songwriter stuff" as you put it is what distinguishes RP from many other music sources. It's that eclectic mix that makes it so damn enjoyable.
Wow. This is quite possibly one of the finest contemporary rock and roll song I've heard in a long time.
WOW!!!! This is what I call "eclectic rock" Could do with less songwriter stuff and more of THISSSSS - Viking Rock

The guitar work sounds like it was taken out of the Keith Richard's guide to rock n'roll guitar.
Missed the chance to see these guys last month. "Don't cry for me, I'm already stupid." Feh.
....kick ASS!!
Wow, I know I never heard this before, but from the start I thought I had. Yes, definite Stones and Spirit influences, with just a hint of Nick Lowe/Rockpile thrown in for good measure. Nice recipe! And then they kick it up a notch -- BAM!
The boys exploit a good hook here to its near limit. Nice.
As always with music I find on "Six Feet Under"... ...this is utterly brilliant. It was even better in the context it was used in the show. I don't hear the Franz Ferdinand thing suggested before at all. The driving beat reminds me once again of The Stone Roses, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, et al... There is SLIGHTLY less layering of guitars on this but still...
It was slightly eery hearing this as part of the soundtrack in the movie "In Good Company"! 8O Cool though! :goodvibes.gif:
I had heard some of their stuff before. Pretty nifty and catchy.
BTW, these guys do the "Head on Over to the Other Side" intro song for those HBO softporno-mentaries.

My first thought was that it was some Nick Lowe cut that somehow I had never heard before.

Atomic Swing/Franz Ferdinand/Soundtrack of Our Lives - take your pick!
Sounds sorta like the Dandy Warhols... Bohemian Like You.
Scandanavians ROCK!!! Just sit back and go with it...winters are long up there aye
One of the best progressive bands around today. I am totally impressed with all of their albums.

I first heard this track in a video game of all places. (MVP Baseball 2003) It got me to check out the album. It is a bit uneven in spots, but really quite good.
fun. nice texture to it too. diggin this one more with each listen.
I think this is much too monotonous and boring. When does it end? A long duration of the same thing. I miss a melody and I don't hear impressive text. Voice ain't that bad. Let's make some music
