Well, you may think I'm foolish
For the foolish things I do
You may wonder how come I love you
When you get on my nerves like you do
Well, baby, you know you bug me
There ain't no secret 'bout that
Come on over here and hug me
Baby, I'll spill the facts
Well, honey, it ain't your money
'Cause, baby, I got plenty of that
I love you for your Pink Cadillac
Crushed velvet seats
Riding in the back
Oozing down the street
Waving to the girls
Feeling out of sight
Spending all my money on a Saturday night
Honey, I just wonder what you do there in the back of your pink Cadillac
Pink Cadillac

Well now, way back in the Bible
Temptation always comes along
There's always somebody tempting somebody into
Doing something they know is wrong
Well, they tempt you with their silver
And they tempt you with their gold
And they tempt you with the pleasure
That the flesh do surely hold
They say Eve tempted Adam with an apple
But, man, I ain't buying that
She got him with her Pink Cadillac
Crushed velvet seats
Riding in the back
Oozing down the street
Waving to the girls
Feeling out of sight
Spending all my money on a Saturday night
Honey, I just wonder what it feels like in the back of your pink Cadillac
Pink Cadillac

Well now, some folks say it's too big
And uses too much gas
Some folks say it's too old
And that it goes too fast
But my love, she's bigger than a Honda
Bigger than a Subaru
And, man, there's only one thing
One car that will do
And, we don't have to drive it
We can park it way out back
Honey, have a party in your Pink Cadillac
Crushed velvet seats
Riding in the back
Oozing down the street
Waving to the girls
Feeling out of sight
Spending all my money on a Saturday night
Honey, I just wonder what you do there in the back of your Pink Cadillac
Pink Cadillac
Honey, I just wonder what what you do there in the back of your Pink Cadillac

I honestly don't know how this song ever became the slightest bit popular. It's just the same... three... notes... over... and... over. I find it difficult to listen to because of the endless repetition. My only guess to explain the song's popularity is that some people are melody people, others are lyrics people. I tend to ignore the lyrics until I've listened to a song a few dozen times, so bad melody/harmony/whatever will ruin a song's chances for me. -David
Remember people, Bruce left this off The River for a reason. You're crucifying him for a B side. :ziplip.gif: Why Graham covered this I have no idea. There are plenty of others that are much better. Graham and Bruce have their own mutual admiration society. But I would like hear Graham with his own songs from Heat Treatment or Howlin' Wind. What do you say Bill?
Boring. Nothing new is added to the song.

An improvement over the original, but still more tribulation than tribute. Let's park it way out back and let the weeds do their work.
Let's put it on some blocks in the front yard.

Ugh Can we just build his fuckin' statue already and get it over with? This song sucks on so many levels, I can't begin to imagine what sense of 'tribute' it supposedly invokes. Poor Graham.

Love Graham, but he's no Springsteen!
Funny I would have said Springsteen is no Graham..

I'd rather hear a cut from Bruce off an album honouring Graham...
so Bruce CAN sound cool! great cover
More likeable than Springsteen to my ears, but there's no feeling in this one.
