I heard you today
That isn't my name
You were fast asleep
Forget what he did
Can I be the kid
For your soul to keep?
Some of us laugh, some us cry
Some of us smoke, some of us lie
But it's all just a way
That we cope with our lives

I've grown to see
The philosophy of my own mistrust
We all have our faults
But mine come in waves
That you turn into rust

Some of us laugh, some us cry
Some of us smoke, some of us lie
But it's all just a way
That we cope with our lives

I've been hanging onto something
You keep laughing, awe inspiring

Some of us laugh, some us cry
Some of us smoke, some of us lie
But it's all just a way
That we cope with our lives.

Some of us laugh, some us cry
Some of us smoke, some of us lie
But it's all just a way
That we cope with our lives

My wonder it's all
Found solace at last
I wanted to know
How long it would last

She's losing control
She's coming down fast
The heart that I stole
I'm not giving back
Never giving back.

I agree with your comment, decorgirl. Every time I hear Starsailor, however, I still can't help thinking if Marvin the Paranoid Android had a band... "The first ten million years were the worst. The second ten million? They were the worst too. The third ten million I didn't enjoy at all. After that I went into a bit of a decline". Marvin the Paranoid Android

Begins to sound like JAMES , but dass OK... An 8.
I can't believe how many people hate this song! I actually really like it. I guess I just like a wide variety of stuff...

Me, too...
Thought for a second it was another Jeff Buckley song. Then I turned the volume up. And right back down again. ASHAMED.
Curiously bad song.
This is pure, unadulterated crap. Absolute ick. I should have signed off with Tux 8 songs ago. Keep waiting for it to get better and it doesn't.
No, don't like it. Something about it just makes it seems very derivative of the rest of the whole Britrock scene
R U Serious?? Starsailor is a great band!!! Keep Playing!!! Brit Pop...

No more Starsailor PLEASE!!!!!!!! To paraphrase the comic book guy in the Simpsons: "Worst Band Ever!"
As the title sais, and as I posted in another tune from this album: "Silence is Easy" https://www.radioparadise.com/modules.php?name=Journal&file=display&jid=1312 I don't agree with "Worst band ever", but they are realy trying to be.
People...it's not THAT bad!!!
AGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more Starsailor PLEASE!!!!!!!! To paraphrase the comic book guy in the Simpsons: "Worst Band Ever!" I'm switching to a different station. Be back when it's over

Yea some of us think this song is very annoying...
This is what The Walkmen might sound like if their singer could sing worth 1/8th of a damn rather than not at all...

 I really enjoy this song. I'm proud to be a fan of it...and the whole album.

Thanks to show that I'm not alone on this one. (I've never used that many puke's :))

Nice segue from "The Final Cut"
It was just played after Pink Floyd's Final Cut again, which showed my filter to work wonderful. From volume 65 to 0. What a sudden silence. If you mean with your comment that this song is better than Pink Floyd's, I'd personally like to vote for the reverse. Gosh I enjoyed the Final Cut, and boy was I glad not to hear this song as an anticlimax after that.

I just don't like listening to this guy's voice. Sorry
Sounds like the guy from Gene Loves Jezebel. "Deesiiiyuh-huh"
I thought this session reached a low point with Joe Henry and Ani diFranco - but I was wrong.

This is really irritating me today. I've never really liked it but for some reason it's just making my skin crawl today. :grumpy.gif:
i feel like a sucker for saying it, but i rather like it.

Are these guys getting commerical airplay in the US? I never listen to the anything except my CDs and RP so I wouldn't know. I thought they would end up getting played often in the US once their record was released. I may be asking the wrong audience this question I suppose.
Here in The Hudson Valley they have received some commercial time. Not much, and the time is on an independent station. Best, Steve
this cornball faux-supertramp sound is, like SO OVER. it's just too painful to endure.
