If you're gonna jump, hey you hang on
If you feel like giving up, hey you hang on
Won't forget today sun is bright, sky is blue yeah
The pain will go away in another year or two

If you got a phone, hey you call home
If you got a voice, hey you rejoice

Won't forget today sun is bright, sky is blue yeah
Won't forget to pray day is night, world is new yeah
Pain will go away in another year or two
In a hundred years or two

If you're gonna fly, hey you don't cry
You gotta live to die, hey you goodbye

Won't forget today sun is bright, sky in blue yeah
Won't forget to pray day is night world is new yeah
Pain will go away in another year or two
In a hundred years or two

...In a thousand years or two

Sure it's like other songs, but it's good at what it it is. Their must be more deserving platforms upon which to bellyache about the music industry in general...
Wouldn't call it dreck. I find it enjoyable. Not everything has to be phenominal.
dreck.

Second that. Way too derivative to be anything special. I tuned away from mainstream stations to RP to get away from this stuff. :-k

Good point. But those commercials are now shaking up my world by using songs from beloved bands like Ween and Modest Mouse and the Flaming Lips. What the hell is going on with that?!?!
I think it follows the expression that money talks and B.S. walks. I oppose the commercialism of music, but if you are a struggling band driving, from state to state, gig to gig in an '85 Dodge Voyager, I could see how it would be lucrative to afford more in life...

This is nothing more than a commercial ready anthem for the next Gap or Toyota advertisement.

generic, pasturized, processed music-food ... tastes okay until you've eaten about two slices
can you say a-v-e-r-a-g-e? Never heard this song before, but felt like I've heard it oh-so-many times before. predictable at every turn

Totally agree.

Nothing wrong with a good catchy pop song (emphasis on "good"). This one's nice.
Thank, Bill and Rebecca, for introducing me to this band!
Firm_Stool, loosen up.
This is nothing more than a commercial ready anthem for the next Gap or Toyota advertisement.

Most Excellent. Haven't heard of The Clarks before. Nice intro.
They're a fairly popular Pittsburgh-area band. It looks like they might be finding their way out of the 'burgh, too. One of their songs, Cigarette, has been a cult-like song around here many years ago. Their upbeat songs are fun to listen to, but they also have some good "bitter" songs.
