Everybody's got that thing
that kinda makes them insane
Everyone has gone half crazy
might as well hang with you
you're out of your mind but your hands are smooth
And everybody's lost the point
quite a long time ago
only thing left that can't be bought or sold
is what's burnin down below
and I'm burning
so let's stop thinking, baby
let's forget our names
let's go up in flames

I know there are thousand ways
that we don't agree
but all that seems to matter right now
is where you're touching me
and I feel it unleash me
and there's no reason, baby
to explain
when we're up in flames

feel me hold you like a dream
reeling, right up on the edge of it

so let's start prayin, baby
in our way
up in flames
'cause it's our freedom, baby
it's our escape
when we're up in flames

Personally, I think Paris Hilton looks like Donald Trump. go figure...
One person's monotonous is another's groove - I love it! .....and what's wrong with a little train wreck every now and then? SCJoniguy wrote:

Does her voice remind anyone else of Heather Nova? I mean, not that they can be compared -- Heather is magnificent, untouchable almost. Just go listen to "Gloomy Sunday." Better yet, wait around and RP should be playing it again soon.
You really have a "thing" for Heather, don't you?

You know, this was funny after...no, wait, it was never funny. I hope the books you write are more diverse and entertaining. For your sake. This tune just isn't doing it for me. I like some of her other stuff...this sounds like she tried to fit some lyrics she'd had lying around to somebody else's music. And they don't fit.
Um, whoah:

I fucking LOVE Bird, this whole cd is excellent, although this song isn't my favorite on it. Highly recommended for purchase, though!
I heard "Haunting You" on RP and immediately went out to buy the album. It's listed on AllMusic as "lite jazz," which made me cringe, but there was a techno sensibility on that first song I couldn't resist. The entire album is great. I concur with MsJudi 100 percent, including the fucking LOVE part.

No, Bird York (yes, that really is her name!)

Yes, Andrea Wyatt is the character's name on The West Wing. I am proud to say I uploaded all of Bird's songs to RP. For some reason, they didn't take "Open Wider," which is one of my all-time faves. An earlier mix of it appears on her first CD. I highly recommend both. Buy two copies--you'll want to give one to that special someone....

This is the second song I have heard from the artist in two days. She seems very interesting. I understand she is a regular on the NBC drama, The West Wind. I don't recognize her, but I like this song. Smooth...sultry and very hot !
She plays Toby's ex-wife, the Congresswoman. And I agree, she's smokin'. Seems to specialize in tasteful adult erotica. I guess "The Velvet Hour" comes after the kids are in bed.
Sultry-I like it :nodhead:

I dig it, she's got a nice voice.
