Sounds a lot like projects I heard in my Introduction to Synthesizer class in high school. Is there any part of this song that could not be played/programmed with one finger? My introductory song to Kraftwerk (the english version) back in high school. Still like although you have to be in the frame of mind. Working in a office on a computer: perfect. Road tripping with the top down: not so perfect. Thanks for the variety Bill!
Hey cool! A song with German lyrics! I already wondered if they play German songs. May be I upload some more.
Though the song appears to be contemporaneous with Depeche Mode's earliest work, it nevertheless shows the clear link between these two bands, particularly during that era. I have read that DM started as a more straight-ahead rock group as teenagers, but after getting into Kraftwerk and Human League ditched the guitar and bass for lots of keyboards. Compare this track to songs like New Life or Photographic. The difference is that DM is a bit more pop and (ironically) sound much more optimistic. (anyone who knows their lyrics will realize that they weren't the most optimistic sounding chaps around though).
