VERY weak example of this genre........!

Super Furry Animals? All I can think of is this:

Not impressed at all, this sounds terrible ... is it supposed to sound so fuzzy?
At least this has a likeable melodic phrase and the sounds relate to the song, and there's an actual song in there, as opposed to a lot of the techno we hear that has dissonance, mindless repetition, no sense of melody or song structure... nothing... This is too long, and a bit too lazy/casual in musicianship, but it's a real song I can find likeable.

There is no such thing as nothing.
Man this is awful...and...long...
do you think lots of quirky sound effects in a song are creative, or merely a gimmick?

Confess I had never heard of SFA until today when I saw them mentioned in the Guardian as one of the best Welsh bands. then I come home and found they were played over an hour ago and I dont have that much saved. So still dont know what they sound like... hopefully in a month or so...does RP have an early warning system?
Pssst. They are playing now.
I like this kinda music...helps the creative juices 2 flow...

it does sound like a generic ringtone with vocals...
Special, while a singer like David Bowie might turn it into something really special!

Huh?
yummy stuff in the morning :) Thanks :D
Sounds a little like Heaven 17. Anyone remember them? Now I need to go fetch my teeth out of the jar...
Sounds like Daft-Punk!! GOOD!!!
This song makes me feel like I ought to be stoned or something...a beautiful "float" song. I'm surprised I like it, I tend to find stuff like this boring and undefined, just a haze of somewhat melodic noises. But this is anything but that. Here here, glad RP introduced me to something new!
Ah, so good to hear this, not listened to it in ages. I had a very strong idea of which order I rated all of the Furries albums in until Love Kraft came out, it sort of went like this (best first): Mwng Radiator Guerrilla Rings around the world Fuzzy Logic Phantom Power Love Kraft floats around the top somewhere between the very top and below Radiator.. Nothing better than a band that can amaze and confound in one single blow. They're also my favourite band to see live (3 times so far), possibly except for Front 242 but that was just another world altogether, and those past glories I think have now passed.
Interesting, but the ride cymbol almost seems well outa place, or just too loud.

sober
aww that's a shame. I love Psyclone! I call it the "chicken song". maybe eventually RP will come around.

looove the Super Furry Animals! So glad to hear them on RP. Anything from "Love Kraft" would be good, too.
I've tried desperately to add more SFA, but I've been rejected every time. Both Phantom Power and Love Kraft would fit perfectly on RP, but to no avail.
1 Super Furry Animals - Psyclone! sorry 2 Super Furry Animals - Frequency sorry 3 Super Furry Animals - Lazer Beam sorry 11 Super Furry Animals - Liberty Belle sorry 14 Super Furry Animals - City Scape Sky Baby sorry 15 Super Furry Animals - Sex, War And Robots sorry
Oh well. SFA still rules!

Reminds me a little of Interpol.
The name of this band always puts me in mind of those folks who like to dress up in critter costumes and ... errrr ... knock paws.
ok, that creature on the cover is far from furry. looks squishy. (by the way, this gets a 9 in my book)

Agree completely. I've uploaded about half of the album but, sadly, it all got rejected.
Me, too. Also rejected.
Some of these song titles and group names crack me up

Then I think I should also listen to Moby. I like it!

My condolences!
Myself, I like only slightly furry animals.
Is it me or does the end sound like an old fashioned school fire alarm? I was sort of into it until that static buzzing thing.

Phantom Power, their latest CD (about a year old) is very good. Highly recommended stuff.
