Once upon a time I was of the mind
To lay your burden down
And leave you where you stood
And you believed I could
You'd seen It done before
I could read your thoughts
Tell you what you saw
And never say a word
Now all that is gone
Over with and done - never to return

And I can tell you why
People die alone
I can tell you I'm
A shadow on the sun

Staring at the loss
Looking for a cause
And never really sure
Nothing but a hole
To live without a soul
And nothing to be learned

And I can tell you why
People go insane
I can show you how
You could do the same
I can tell you why
The end will never come
I can tell you I'm
A shadow on the sun

Shapes of every size
Move behind my eyes
Doors inside my head
Bolted from within
Every drop of flame
Lights a candle in
Memory of the one
Who lives inside my skin

And I can tell you why
People go insane
I can show you how
You could do the same

I can tell you why
The end will never come
I can tell you I'm
A shadow on the sun

Maybe, but is it the chicken or the egg? You have be seriously off-balance to take these meds, and when looking back at the careers of artists like Chris or Robin Williams, you can suddenly see the vast undercurrent that they always lived with until it pulled them under. I think changing meds or even dosages is particularly dangerous and ought to be more closely monitored.

I think this is also the cause of many mass shootings. Disturbed and violent young men plus irregular use of powerful meds plus military weaponry is the worst possible combination. More mental health funding and red flag laws please! At least Chris only took his own life and not 20 more. It's still a tragedy, but some people may be beyond the help of current medical knowledge. It's harder to know when to lock someone up for their own protection.
Look at his lyrics, and look at they way his life ended.

See the correlation?
Damn! What a loss to the world of rock. Rest in peace Chris.
WTF is he yelling at me for?  I didn't do anything.
