Color me once, color me twice
Everything gonna turn out nice
Everlasting arms, you gotta keep me from these false alarms

Alarm, alarm I see you sad
Maybe I see you, I'm glad
Maybe, maybe the fire of her desire

Patience, patience, said the man
Patience, patience, I can't understand
Patience like a man and a wife
I got patience on my neck like a cold, cold knife

I say Jack be nimble, Jack fall dead
Jack bend over and give Jilly head
Oh, you gotta help my body heal my soul

Dead men working a sinner, a saint
Mixing up a pail of paint
Painted the house, black as night

When the sun came up, the house was white

Gotta go on, gotta go on
We gotta go on, you gotta go on
You gotta go on
Go on
Go on

Try and live life like I couldn't

Don't get the greatness of the movie, though.

I saw The Crow when it was in the theatres. What impacted me the most was the bad guys. It was the first movie I saw where the bad guys weren't just bad they were evil in a rather postmodern way. As "The Crow" hunted them down, one by one, he utiized their own individual evil devices againt them to extract justice. Combine that with a head—banging soundtrack and you have an instant cult classic. Of course there is much much more to the movie than warrents discussion at this point.

Another Gem!  The VFs are hard to fit in the playlist I bet!  Wonder who the guitar player is?  8 for me.

I have to comment....the tune is good but this album SUCKS

However, I did learn that Gordon has the guitar credits, so it was worth it.

Not bad, but it's still hard to listen to anything from the Femmes if doesn't come close to matching the aural and emotional intensity of their debut.
Good song. Very different from most of their songs.
This is a great soundtrack. But, if you put it on...you better be ready to bang your head!

Well, color me once, color me twice! I wouldn't expect this jewel from VF's...{#Yes}{#Notworthy}{#Chillpill}{#Kiss}

Great great tune, when I was 15, this was on my favorite MiniDisc...
Yay - more Femmes please!

For a decade or so I was pretty sure the Femmes were a more than usually embittered band of feminist dames.
I had no real problems with the sound and the husky singer lady, I kinda liked it but wondered how they would sound if they cheered the hell up for a moment.
Then I found out that they where all guys and the edginess went away...

Great movie, soundtrack & song. It's a triple threat! {#Clap}

Dunno.  Must be the mood I'm in.  Just bumped this from 6 to 8.
I don't know this song, but I sure recognize Gordon Gano's voice!  Good one!

One movie and soundtrack entierly outstanding in genre / timeperiod. Love it! More of this soundtrack if you please!

So very true. A great movie and an even greater comic. However when I went to the opening night of The Crow here in Denmark I guess we were about 15 people in the cinema...
excellent!!
Yuck. The song is bad and the album art is likely a rip off.

....as I do love a great deal of the tunes from this soundtrack, especially, apart from this one, those played by Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Stone Temple Pilots, Henry Rollins and Rage Angainst The Machine.
Great song and amazing soundtrack!
I've always loved those Femmes . . . exquisite aural cynicism . . . .
very cool tune, and i'm gonna have to check out that soundtrack.
One of my favorite VF tunes.
By far one of the best VF songs... and a legendary soundtrack for it to appear on.

Do you know the version from The Inchtabokatables? It's so much better!
Color me unimpressed.

I second that emotion, I don't know of another soundtrack that comes close, it really goes well with the movie.

Did I mention that the playlist is exceptionally good this morning?
So different from their usual, but I still like it! I like pretty much the entire Crow soundtrack, except for the Danzig song.
Hmm, liked it immediately, must investigate further.

and Almost Famous soundtrack :)
I dunno. Their debut album was a hill of fun, and still is an incredible. But I haven't heard a thing from them since, including this boring ditty, that has come close that incredible album.
Hmm, first time listen, I'll listen to these again
Ah, these guys really were a lot of fun...!
The only thing worse than the music is the singing.
tremendous piece of good music any rate below 7 should be publicly punished :whip:
There is such power in a great Femmes song, such as this one. Along with "Country Death Song," "Gimme the Car," "Add it Up," and so many others, this one gives me the chills.
And people say that 80's music sucked? These guys were so cool back in the day... still are.
wow.... 1:53 am, may 2004.... and does this song flash me right back to the 1994 film The Crow.

I generally don't care for the Violent Femmes, but I like this song. Hmm...posting dates are giving away the playlist rotation here. Oct 17, now Oct 27. Who wants to put money on hearing this again Nov 5? (Not that I mind; 10 days is plenty of time between replays!)
I love this song, miss the simple days when the important things were who had the Crow Soundtrack.
Wow-- a Femmes song that isn't "blister in the sun" I'm impressed.
