Thought I should share this which I found in his bio at his website yesterday. Note that "Luka" was born Kevin Barry Moore, and started his career as Barry Moore. "Barry was a finger picking folkie, until the middle of 1979, when tendonitis did serious damage to his picking hand. This caused him to learn to play with a plectrum and change his style of playing."
Yyyyyyaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnnnnn
If he ever learns to pick the guitar he might be dangerous. He has about 7 albums with the same rapid fire cords over and over.

I've noticed the same phenomenon with Luka's music. When I first heard his music on RP (a few weeks ago), I was mostly impressed with the guitar sound, although the overall package was nice. Now, after hearing several songs in fairly regular rotation here on RP, they are all blending together, and none of them stand out in particular.
Luka Bloom\'s brother Christy Moore is an amazing artist too if you\'re into Irish folk.. Similar voice, different music.
