Your virgin light is a golden flame
But it's burning, it's burning fast now
You crossed the line and you made a choice
You hurt the one you love now he needs you

Mercy I can't see your heart
I can't feel your love
Mercy I can't see your heart
I can't feel your love

Your life is like a song you're living like a fool
You're living like a fool but I can't tell you right
You're taking all the time you're taking all my time
You're living like a fool
And I can't tell you right

Mercy I can't see your heart
I can't feel your love
Mercy I can't see your heart
I can't feel your love

Yeah, music tends to repeat - it's weird that way - just like the oceans tend to be wet.

For some reason, I'm disturbed by the album cover art. It reminds me of something that I can't quite place... but it's freakin' me out a little. I'm feeling lukewarm about the song - I can take it or leave it.

And this one? It freaks you too..? Gniark, gniark

Same here, I think it matches the song well.

Me too on the album cover.  When the small icon came up, I thought for sure it was an eye with a lot of make up on the lashes.  But the larger image is kind of disturbing.  Could still be an eye with lashes - or an insect, or a rip in flesh.

Kinda looks like Dr. Frankenstein stitched up some woman's privates!!
Usually I can't stand Mojave 3, but while this song is certainly no maserpiece, I didn't have to mute it.
i love mojave 3, but slowdive has my heart......

It is a bit odd, I agree.

Come on, it's not that bad... enough with the negative waves.... It sounds reminiscent to me of old old Eagles or even something the late Great Gram Parsons would appreciate.... so there!
blech
It's Terrible!!!!!

This song is just so emotional...and the harmony is amazing. Mojave 3 is just incredible. Probably the most talented band that no one knows about.
You mean in PA, right?
Sure sounds a lot like Timbuk 3...

Great song! I like Slowdive but this is the first thing I've heard from Mojave 3. I'll have to pick up some of their stuff. Thanks for playing this!
Mojave 3 is very good. I had the pleasure of discovering them when they opened for Lush back in the 90's. If you think they are good on the CD then go see them live - they are amazing!!!!
I don't mean this at all as a knock, but "ask me tomorrow" is my favorite CD when i need to hit the couch for a nap. it's kinda lush and primitive at the same time. "Mercy", to me is the weakest track. "Love Songs on the Radio" is schweet. for some reason, the sound of it makes me feel like it's the perfect companion to neil young's "harvest".
ouch
a little different, but also a bit repetative.
Sorry to be a downer, but I feel like I'm being pounded into the earth in an unpleasant and highly repetitive and monocromatic way. :P :tapedshut.gif:
:sunny.gif: First 2 albums are absolutely beautiful...
