Meh. This might have been more palatable if it didn't follow a bunch of really excellent, organic acoustic guitar playing. The switch to Casio synth pad noodling and a Loreena/Sarah Maclachlan impersonator is jarring.

Hmmm. For some reason this isn't working for me. It reminds me of the fatuous poetry I wrote in high school...heavy on the stars, unicorns and magical lovers coming to take me away. Oh, and the music is way over-processed.

I have his State of Grace (2000) disc and really like it. Admittedly, it's not for everyone, but if you're dying for Latin or some new takes on very old songs, it's a very original work. This is a nice song, 6 or 7 worthy.

Innocuous. At least the real drums liven up the recording. Most of this stuff is too drum loopy. Toss it in the bin with Dido and the like.

Tuned in just in time this AM. This is really very lovely. Wonderful vocalist, powerful lyrics, nice lush arrangement. \"on the wings of desire we will rise to the sky\" I could get quite carried away ! :roll:
