This line-up is killing me.  I rarely turn down RP for 1 song...never mind 3 of 4.

I find it hilarious how the comments are arranging themselves along gender lines.
Another RP introduction for me. Sounds a bit like Cocteau Twins with intelligible lyrics, she's not as good as Elizabeth Fraser but she's not bad. Thanks RP.

One of the posts mentioned "Dumbstar". First thing that came to my mind too. A name like Dubstar is just begging for it. And the cover "art"  looks like a tissue box cover or a weird slipper or something! Not good overall if not disgraceful{#Lol}

That's a 10-4! Sheesh, what crap.

One of the rare times I have rated a song played at RP as low as the 2 I gave this tune.

Monotone, melody is too simple, and her singing is not even on pair with that... hmmm, not for me.

Agreed — nice lyrics on paper, but that is one flat-lining melody.  And why is there a rabbit with a vagina on the album cover?

She is the female equivilent of Morrisey.
I really like this song - does anybody know the guitar chords for it? I use to start with A - Bm - D - E but I cannot hear what's next

Oh, Hell yes. My sentiments exactly. Assuming I still hung out in bars...
For gods sake Dubstar! Quit going to bars to pick up guys!

Catchy... tune-wise.. lyrics make their point... but it seems to put people on the defensive
I could see how the average guy might wanna steer clear of this kind of dry wit and intelligence, but that doesn't say much for their insight, imagination, or sense of humour.

So would a female Morrissey be a....Morrisette? h aha haha
Remind me not to invite her to the next party. She sounds a little defensive. If she doesn't want to be plyed with drinks, don't accept them.

I picked up Dubstar's first disc speculating that it would be good since they had one of the better songs on the Gary Numan tribute disc called "Random." I can't say I've played it more than once or twice. I think it needs to get sold back while it still might be worth something to someone.
Hell, I'd buy it...

nothing very interesting here, imho. kind of lackluster.
Oh quit whining and get me a damn beer, woman!
Sort of Cranberryish. Not too bad.
... with a tinge of Morrissy
(Later) Lush... all the way, even the lyrics...
Cocteau Twins VS The Sundays. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!
Not much of a singer.
Cocteau Twins vs Lush. Intersting sound. Like it.
