freewheeling. ..
Note the irony:

The photo shows that warm and fuzzy feel of the 1970s, some call it a vibe.

This   music is cold and antiseptic, no vibe.

"Proper" music is vastly over-rated.
Nice.  I am feeling the need to pull my Chem Bros playlists out for a run today!

Definitely does not need more cowbell.

Great when you're driving on the highway....
I had forgotten this jewel in my collection....

marvelous...

I don't recall ever hearing this before. This one is an eight right out of the box!{#Good-vibes}
In dust we trust - 1 too many mornings is definitely my favorite Chemical Brothers song, maybe because its got a Moby sound to it. For a minute I thought it was Banco de Gaia.
I    am    hyp    no    tized   . . .

Very few pieces in ever created in music history enter directly into my bloodstream like this one does. Thanks Bill.
Truly divine stuff!

Great song!
I had forgotten all about this one, thank you!
Sweet! {#Jump}

MORNING EVERYONE!  {#Sunny}
Classic tune from one of the best albums in the 90's... and yet another reason why I LOVE RADIO PARADISE!

too repetitive
Had just put down 'phones and gone to mains and 10" powered sub when this came on - I'm a freakin' genius!  {#Dancingbanana_2}  -8-

VERY few songs make me hit the mute button... But this makes me
Just like Rendergirl from the Windy City said back in December, I too had to stop working to check this song out. Very interesting and somewhat hypnotic. Play it again.

Veeery nice... :)

It's songs like this (played only at RP of course) that broke me of my non-sensical Chemical Brothers dislike because I thought they were standard techno/whatever. I thoroughly enjoy this track and all their others played on RP!

Love love LOVE this song, but it is a little difficult to get into the swing of it without the rest of the CD leading up to it. Highly recommend purchasing the CD for anyone vaguely interested in the song...
Kind of the predecessors to modern trip-hop artists like Theivery Corp. Pretty cool cut.
I think this must be Bill's way of telling me to turn off the computer and go to sleep.
Well, that was weird!
nice stuff, brothers
Thanks for satisfying my Chemical "dependency".
Serious driving music. Pedal to the metal. Go fast or go home. Go fast going home. Open highway with the windows down.

I happened to hear 'Every 1's a Winner' (Hot Chocolate) a few months back, for the first time in about 20 years, and what struck me was how hard they were trying to make their 'normal' instruments sound computerised / programmed. It's almost quaint.

The Chemical Brothers do it like no one else. Sheer perfection.

I like the fade-into-the-perceptual-background aspect of repetitive electronica, Chemical Brothers or otherwise.
I first heard CB as the soundtrack to "Wipeout" (a racing game) when the first Playstation came out. Quite different tracks from this one, however, but they surely enhaced the feeling of speed. I like this track: 8

That is true for a lot of electronic artists. Many of the best songs work best as a moment in a long dance mix, slowly coming to the forefront, then fading as another beat/rhythm comes in. This effect goes all the way back to Disco too.

Probably that's all you're familiar with. I'd point you to artists such as NIN and Front 242. Very hard hitting, no nonsense, driving music. Still repetitive, but I think as somebody else pointed out that's caused by the tools instead.
This is one of their oldest albums, and the first one I got. Great stuff. The electric saw noise in the end of the album (at least that's what it sounded to me) still gives me flash backs.

good question. a clue might be found in the name of an outfit called "Land of the Loops"... as in sound loops. they do it because they can - digital music geeks. i love them for it. digital anything is by nature easily repetitive - perhaps they are playing to the strengths of the tools. not sure how good or natural an 'organic jam' sound you could make with the Casio...
I'm a huge fan of the Chemical Brothers and this is definitely a song that fits RP's format pretty well. Not what I'd consider their best work, but a good song.
Great song, great album.
SWEET hey p-genius, back from Wal-Mart? upload your great tracks for us...
Got an ORBITAL kinda thing going on...I likes it , my Prrrecioussssss...An 8 it isssss, yesssss!

Ignorance is bliss eh federico? Considering your initial statement, I wouldn't expect anyone would be willing to give you the time of day to answer your question. I sure as heck wouldn't. federico wrote:

a nice foot tapper.
Great song. I like the down-tempo groove that many of their newer stuff lacks. 8/10 for me.
What an awesome song.

Maybe I'm not getting CB, but I fail to see the attraction of this stuff. Pretty boring IMO.... 3/10.
8) :chillpill.gif: I LOVE this track. Always have.
You know the old cliche "one note song?" I'd never heard it applied literally before. (I'm being figurative)
Still an amazing track, I don't care how comercial CB got. :goodvibes.gif:
i really love this album :sunny.gif:
Why does the drum-beats sound like knocking on a door? :s
