you look so mysterious
but you sound so serious
you should have told me on the phone
i'm sorry i'm sorry i don't know what i'm saying

i guess you tried to let me know
by leaving notes on the stereo
it's not the typical way to go
i'm sorry i'm sorry i don't know what i'm saying

'cause i found myself
back in the bachelor scene
feel like an astronaut
in a submarine
if i fall asleep
i could fall out of bed
maybe the helmet helps
but it hurts my head

let's not get hysterical maybe you need a sabbatical
you get so angry when you're wrong
i'm sorry i'm sorry i don't know what i'm saying

you know it came as quite a shock to find your note in the cereal box
and why'd you have to change the locks
i'm sorry i'm sorry i don't know what i'm saying

and i found myself
back in the bachelor scene
feel like an astronaut
in a submarine
if i fall asleep
i could float out of bed
maybe the ceiling helps
but it hurts my head

cause i found myself
back in the bachelor scene
feel like an astronaut
in a submarine
if i fall asleep
i could fall out of bed
maybe the helmet helps
but it hurts my head

That'd be cool. You got any photos?
Yawn. Massively boring and uninspiring.

I love themes.. :)

This last sequence: Space Oddity (DB)/Major Tom (PS)/Yuri (OVV) and now Astronaut Down.
or Stars Die by PT?
I sense a theme with these last few. What's next, Telstar?
Thanks to ground controls instructions, this time my space capsule did worked out.

Kevin Moore (Chroma Key) is just great.  His Chroma Key series of albums are great low key Floydian influenced music, and his other band, OSI, is so awesome I can't contain myself.  OSI is prog rock in the family of Porcupine Tree, but with an occasional harder edge.  If you like PT, you should check out OSI.
Forgot to add Daft Punk's "Contact" to the space theme medley.

We need Bowie's "Space Odyssey" and we will have "Space Theme Monday."

Well, that's different...
Major Tom, Yuri and then this.... {#Think} Astronaut theme today I guess? {#Eek}
please don't refer to him as that Canadian guy. we're still getting over that canadian gal. can we just pretend they are from somewhere else?

this is bad.  really bad.
great
I just Love Astronaut Rock,,, quite a niche
the cosmonautical trifecta - bravissimo
Just an annoying piece of noise. Can't say "ANNOYING" enough.
Adrian Belew-ish?
Hah for a second I mixed these guys up with Chromeo, who I first saw on Yo Gabba Gabba. Nice space theme by the way.
The vast musical wasteland of the 80's had small, sickening tendrils that extended till 2000!

Very cool in the post NASA years!

Love this set. Every time.

" feel like an astronaut
  in a submarine "

a memorable line.
ouch.... this is why I keep coming back, can not say I love it, but I like it a bunch......?

{#Good-vibes}  hahaha

Fred vom Jupiter, Fred vom Jupiter
der Traum aller Fraun,
Du machst mich schwach.
Fred vom Jupiter, Fred vom Jupiter
Bleib für immer hier,
geh doch nicht fort!

I was just viewing images of aviation crashes and then noticed this songs title...quite a co-wink-e-dink.

Agreed. What an excellent segue. All we need now is the Bonzo Dog Doo-dah Band's Urban Spaceman ;-)

Now if Bill would just follow up with Porcupine Tree's 'Stars Die' it would make a perfect set.

Rush's Countdown from Signals would fit nicely here as well. It plays back the liftoff of the first shuttle launch. The band had been invited to attend and you get the real feel for the scene. Musical journalism, via Peart!

That was one of my favorite tunes when I was about 11 or 12 ! Whatever happen to ol' C.W. Why is he not in the Country Music Hall of Fame or something ??

Could you turn down the "music" so I can hear the astronauts talk? That would be more interesting.{#Whistle}
All weird songs, mixed beautifully.

Hey the gentleman just sang it - if "singing" is really what it is - "This hurts my head"
{#Beat}
Chroma Key - Astronaut Down
Oi Va Voi - Yuri
Peter Schilling - Major Tom (Coming Home)

Liking the space theme.
what happened today? have you decided play all poor quality songs??{#Stupid}
This would pair up nicely with Hotel Parallel from Alpinestars.  Similar sound and vocals.

I said "Big Ben this here's a Rubber Duck, I say we ain't gonna pay no toll.  So we crashed the gate goin' 98, saying LET THEM TRUCKERS ROLL, 10-4"

Ahh, the 70's was a great decade for CB music!

I'm not in love with either song, but you're right, it's a perfect segue.

I love this guy's music (Kevin Moore); I have his 3 Chroma Key albums, and his two OSI albums. OSI happens to be one of my favorite bands. Very similar to this, but with a little more heavy guitar work (Jim Matheos). I just submitted an OSI track to Radio Paradise the other day ("Once") which is a great song....check it out. It is currently on rotation here....
So the background chatter isn't crosstalk! Huh! Oh. It's part of the song? Someone wanted it like this? Huh. Nnnnzzz...
I like it, sounds like some guy in his basement recording studio messing around.

What's that say? When the segue is a "10" and both songs are lousy? We got a DJ with great talent, but no taste? I don't buy that. I guess he just picks a few clinkers, but boy can he spin 'em! It wouldn't be eclectic if it were all 10s, would it?
You are correct.

10/10 for transition from Mike Oldfield's "Ascension." 4/10 for actual song.
Reminds me of something I have heard before.
Great tune! Hope it will get better rated :) great \"space\" sound!!
Catchy in a dark sort of way, interesting use of Apollo astronaut audio.
