I generally do not like Folk Implosion much, but this gets a 6 from me.

I've pretty much given up on finding music at "commercial outlets." Almost all of the small "mom and pop" record stores (with two notable exceptions) here have been driven out of business by the large corporate stores (Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, Target, etc). Finding anything off of the beaten path at any of these stores is a chore.

Reminiscent in the faster parts of Coldplay ("God Put A Smile Upon Your Face") and in the slower of Toad the Wet Sprocket.

Same here, I have really enjoyed this CD. If this is "trite" Lou Barlow, then I need to get the other Folk Implosion albums. Of course, I must confess to a collection of allegedly trite CD's so you may not consider me a credible source of judgment on this one. Honestly, I'm not even really sure what the definition of trite is though I suspect it is a synonymous with a statement of some kind that lacks some kind of depth of content based on an arbitrary criteria. Not that anyone should care about what I think is arbitrary.
I like Lou Barlow\'s work in general but this album is crap. Trite, boring.
They have become my new favorite group. Thanks RP
